It was considered a mysterious, high-end profession.

If both of them had their eye on the same person, wouldn’t that mean they were very certain about the identity of the murderer?

The crowd now had their attention on Xiang Wan.

Xiang Wan felt her ears slightly burning.

She was unlike Bai Muchuan who had a lot of experience with boasting about his achievements and furthermore, he was more thick-skinned as well.

Nevertheless, she had to cooperate with him. She calmly accepted the fact of being in the ‘limelight’ and even looked back at them politely…

“Looks like you’re not willing to turn yourself in…” said Bai Muchuan without any more delay, “since you don’t want the chance that we have given you, then I’ll have to arrest you myself!”

His cold tone was strong and determined.

The crowd seemed in awe.

After that, they all looked at him without making a sound.

The guests that came to the party were mostly well-known figures. Even the service staff at the villa were presentable and carried themselves well as they had met and served many extinguished guests. They weren’t afraid of the police authority. Yet under Bai Muchuan’s piercingly cold gaze, they couldn’t hold their head high before him…

There were some people who had an innate ability to intimidate others.

The atmosphere in the hall was now tense.

Everyone was waiting quietly. They were waiting to see how the ‘Sherlock Holmes of the East’, Lord Bai, would solve this case.

Bai Muchuan however, was very patient. He talked to the police officers near him and appeared calm and collected. There was nothing to suggest that he was anxious.

The crowd began to discuss amongst themselves cautiously.

“Everyone need not be in a hurry,” said Bai Muchuan coldly, “I also want to clear the suspicions for all of you as soon as possible so you can leave here as soon as possible… Looks like all of you seem to have drunk a lot of wine. At this moment, you should be missing your warm bed at home. So, I ask for everyone’s utmost cooperation with our work.”

The crowd burst into laughter.

But that only lasted for a while.

Bai Muchuan didn’t laugh. “Now, I need everyone to listen carefully. Those who have been to the swimming pool tonight, please stand on my right. Those who didn’t go to the pool at all, please stand on my left.”

Everyone looked at one another.

Some people started to get nervous.

While some people obviously heaved a sigh of relief.

Even though there were some who didn’t go to the swimming pool, they knew that the corpse was discovered there.

Those who didn’t go would surely be cleared of suspicion, right?

In no time, with the police officers’ help, the crowd was split into two.

That was fast.

In one glance, the number of people who had been to the swimming pool was obviously less than those who had not.

Bai Muchuan took a look towards his left. “Those who went to the pool after the incident happened should also stand on the right. I beseech everyone to trust the police’s ability to gather evidence that every footprint in the pool can be traced back to the owner.”

After he said that, a few more people walked over to his right.

Bai Muchuan: “Is that all? Don’t let me find out!”

No one talked.

No one moved either.

A while later, a guest started to protest. “Didn’t you say that you already have your eye on the suspect? Why don’t you just look for that person? Why make it so troublesome?”

It was smart of that guest to ask that.

He knew how to diss the police.

Bai Muchuan smiled, he was not annoyed at all. “I need to let everyone know how I found the murderer, right? If I simply pointed at someone and claimed that that person is the murderer, would everyone believe me?”
