Chapter 76 - The Death of the Ancient One (1/2)

The Ancient One was standing over all her disciples as they were learning magic, she was looking out of her window towards the mountains of Kamar Taj. She was also seeing her disciples learning magic or at least trying to. She knew her time was coming, she was tired, so tired of protecting the Earth for over 600 years. As she thought about her life and her legacy, she touched her bald head. If she had known that she would lose her hair over the years, she would have given up her chance of becoming the Sorcerer Supreme.

”Sigh....”, the Ancient One sighed again as she watched the students from her room while still rubbing her bald head. If anything she was glad her responsibility was over as the guardian of Earth, she was about to get a chance to finally rest. Her only regret was did she have to die with a bald head. Wait, the Ancient One thought maybe she can get a pixelated photo that shows she has hair before she died to be hung up in Kamar Taj. At least that would show her beauty. As she thought of that she rubbed her own bald head again as a smile crept up on her face.

Days later, the Ancient One was ready as she looked at the main hall of Kamar Taj as a big beautiful picture of her with a head full of hair was to be hung up by the students of Kamar Taj. The Ancient One was excited and she had a smile on her face. She was happy as tomorrow Ray, Baron Mordo and Master Wong would be in Kamar Taj to send her off. Dr. Strange the new sorcerer supreme was there with her as he twirled around drunkenly with a smile on his face.

”Hey ! Ancient One, beautiful picture.”, Dr. Strange said happily as he stumbled around.

”Thank you.”, the Ancient One said as she smiled happily.

”Here. Let me help you put up the picture.”, Dr. Strange said as he cast a spell to movie the large picture up the wall.

”Oops !”, Strange shouted out as the picture was accidentally torn in half by his magic.

The Ancient One stared at Dr. Strange as her face blackened beyond recognition.

”Dr. Strange !!!...”, The Ancient One shouted out as she was about to throw Dr. Strange into Antarctica. She put up her hand to cast a spell.

Dr. Strange saw how angry the Ancient One was and quickly teleported away. Dr. Strange stayed hidden and did not come out until the next day as he knew then that Ray, Baron Mordo and Master Wong was around and it will not be so easy for the Ancient One to hurt him badly.

When the next day came, the Ancient One was in bed. She had woken up in the morning to teach her students in Kamar Taj. She had left notes for Dr. Strange and letters to her closest friends. She had prepared everything. Now she was in her room, she had lived long enough. Now it was time for another step of her life. She was about to merge with Eternity, one of the five main gods of the Universe. The Ancient One was content and happy as she was accompanied by her adopted son Ray, her closest confident Baron Mordo and her most loyal servant Master Wong. Then suddenly Dr. Strange the new sorcerer supreme stumbled in with a smile on his stupid face.

”You are not angry right Master. It's not good to go off angry. Smile master. Smile.”, Dr. Strange said in a goofy way.

But the Ancient One's face still blackened as her lips began to twitch. If she did not need Dr. Strange the new sorcerer supreme to protect the Earth, she would so much like to cripple the fool. She forced herself to smile as a weird twisted smile appeared on her face. Ray, Baron Mordo and Master Wong which was all next to her beside her bed looking at her all were horrified at the weird smile on the Ancient One's face.

”Mother, are you all right ?”, Ray said in a girly voice while still holding onto the Ancient One's hand.

”It's alright.... I am alright...”, The Ancient One said while still trying to hold onto her weird horrifying smile as she looked at Dr. Strange. Dr. Strange looked awkwardly at the Ancient One as he hid behind Baron Mordo.

”What's wrong Ancient One ? Dr. Strange ?”, Baron Mordo asked as he looked at the Ancient One and then looked at Dr. Strange.
