Chapter 3 - Stumbled upon a secret meeting (1/2)

Bella Lim slowed down as she saw the sharp turned ahead. However, if there was a traffic officer, she would still get her 'love letter'.

Suddenly, a cold wind went past her. Instantly, she felt all the hair on her body erect. If she was to choose, she preferred not to use this shortcut because the road was quiet and dark. It was understandable because this road was in between two skyscrapers.

Bella Lim decided to ignore the creepiness that began to take control of her mind. This was the last turned and she only needed to ride for another five minutes before she reached the school. So, she thought, when suddenly two expensive cars stopped not far from where she was. She abruptly braked knowing that the two cars were now blocking her way out.

'Who are these people!' she clenched her fist, angered that her plan was interrupted. She needed to be by the side of her little pumpkin now, or else the headmaster would take the chance to torture him with ridiculous punishment.

Bella Lim planned to press the horn when suddenly a woman and a man came out from the two luxurious cars. Seeing the two people, her instinct told her to turn off the engine of her bike. She remained in the same position for it was the most concealed area.

Even with the lack of lighting, Bella Lim was able to recognize the woman but not the man. All she could see was the man's back as he was standing face to face with the woman.

'Why is Karen Yang here? Who is that man?' Bella Lim thought as she tried to search the existence similar to that man among her memories. There was only one hard truth, the man wasn't Eric Wu!

Bella Lim immediately set her phone on mute. She couldn't afford to make any noise right now. Her instinct told her that the two were up to something no good and she needed to know the reason for her suspicion.

'Little pumpkin hang on!' she thought while at the same time hoping that the time wasted here wouldn't bring trouble to her little brother. She knew even if she wanted to quietly turn around, the two robust bodyguards that stand behind the man would notice her.

”It happened as predicted. That man was seduced by you,”

Bella Lim heard the man spoke. His voice was distant but with great focus, she was able to comprehend what was said. The instant she heard him saying 'that man' her brain spontaneously ȧssociated the remark to a certain individual. Hence, she stepped closer so that she could listen clearly.

”More like I seduced his grandpa,” Karen Yang sneered. She coyly hit the man's ċhėst. Her eyes were seducing the man in front of her. The man reciprocated by grabbing Karen Yang's hand and kissed the dorsal side.

The exchanged almost caused Bella Lim's eyes to pop out of its sockets. She stared at Karen Yang with her gaze akin to a predator. Sweats began to wet her palm who was itching to slap the woman so that she could awaken her senses.

”He invites me to dine at his house tonight,” Karen Yang told the man who was still kissing her hand.

”Really? Is it just the two of you?” the man asked somehow in disbelieved.
