“By the way, how’s Xiang Yi? Is she not ready yet?” The assistant director couldn’t help, but be a little frustrated.

Actually, he was rather reluctant about having Xiang Yi join the team, but the director and scriptwriter suddenly decided after watching “Two Under One Roof” for five minutes that they would have Xiang Yi stand in for a male artist who was supposed to be part of the show.

Xiang Yi didn’t have a single presentable film in her filmography and yet, her name kept appearing on the hot search list.

‘Her brothers and grandparents keep joining the show. Well, she’s just lucky that she was born into a wealthy family!’ The assistant director thought to himself, genuinely looking down on Xiang Yi from the bottom of his heart.

Having had a bad first impression of Xiang Yi, he instinctively disliked her and vented his anger on her.

The assistant hurriedly left and when he returned, he said, “The dressing room is empty… Miss Xiang Yi is no longer around…”

The assistant director was enraged. “What is she doing instead of being in the dressing room? What? Is she going to put on airs and leave just like that? Let her go then! Does she really think our show can’t work without her?”

The assistant said in a wishy-washy manner, “I heard that the stylist and make-up artist that has been assigned to Miss Xiang Yi has suddenly fallen ill and called in sick today… Could it be because of that…”

The assistant director choked and quickly became irritated. “Can’t she bring her own stylist and makeup artist? How can she survive in this industry if she doesn’t even have the ability to adapt?! She should really do some soul-searching and reflect on why other artists are doing fine, but she’s getting nitpicked on all the time.”

The assistant was speechless.

Although he didn’t agree with his point of view, he didn’t dare to retort, so he had no choice but to keep quiet and suffer in silence.

The more the assistant director thought about it, the angrier he got. ‘Xiang Yi just has a rich family. Other than that, she’s completely incompetent. How dare she put on such airs?!’

“Tell her that if she doesn’t appear in front of me within five minutes, she doesn’t have to come anymore!” the assistant director said austerely.

In the next second, someone came running while panting heavily. “Huh? Is Miss Xu not ready yet? Miss Xiang has already been waiting for a long time at the shooting venue!”
