Xiang Yi somehow felt a little diffident and guilty as she retracted her hand quickly, hiding it behind herself.

Without even changing out of her bear-ears pajamas, Jiang Jiujiu dashed over and stood in between the two of them.

“Yiyi how can you hold a man’s hand!?!”

Xiang Yi said, “I didn’t, I just wanted to do a pinky…”

“You wanted to touch a man’s hand!?!?”

Xiang Yi was dumbstruck by Jiang Jiujiu’s interrogative tone.

‘Uh… there may not be a causal relationship between a pinky promise and holding hands but it seems to be a…juxtaposition?’

Xiang Yi’s eyes darted around uncomfortably and she said, “No-no…”

Shi Sui chuckled.

He discovered that Xiang Yi really wasn’t a good liar.

Her body movements and eye language had all betrayed her.

As her best friend, Jiang Jiujiu had, of course, seen through it too. She was so furious that she stomped her feet and exclaimed, “Y-y-you…you’re not pure at all!”

Xiang Yi pursed her lips without saying anything.

Shi Sui said, “Miss Jiang, Xiang Yi is setting off.”

Jiang Jiujiu seemed to have been woken up from her sleep as she said aggrievedly, “Why didn’t you wake me up!?!”

Xiang Yi said, “You seemed to be sleeping soundly so I didn’t wake you up but I saved you some of your favorite fishballs for breakfast, it’s in the refrigerator. You can have it after warming it up.”

Jiang Jiujiu was full of resentment and she immediately fell silent because of Xiang Yi’s words.

Her ears were red and she tapped her toes against the ground intermittently. Pretending to be nonchalant, she said, “So you still remember my preferences.”

“I’ve always remembered that fish and kale are your favorites. Your favorite fruit is mango…”

Jiang Jiujiu listened for a long time before saying pretentiously in satisfaction, “Okay, okay, I didn’t ask you that many questions.”

After saying that, she gave Shi Sui the side-eye.

Shi Sui wasn’t angry at all and he simply smiled at her politely.
