On one of the ships, in a spacious cabin, Garp was sitting at a table with a newspaper in his hand.
He picked up the crackers from the table and raised his hand, dropping them into his mouth.

Garp put down the newspaper and looked at the Rear Admiral who was in the office: ”Still haven't been able to contact Aokiji?!”
The events related to the Golden Lion were too loud and chaotic to continue turning a blind eye to, but to solve Shiki's problem, it was necessary to send either an Admiral or a Hero of the Watch.
Since Garp was just about to return to East Blue to train his grandson Luffy, he voluntarily took on this task.

Garp took a cup of tea from the table, noticeably relaxed after getting in touch with Aokiji.
The Hero of the Watch didn't care so much about Aokiji, because with his current strength, he shouldn't get into a dangerous situation, even in the event of a direct collision with the Golden Lion.
Although according to Garp's ȧssessment, Aokiji probably won't be able to defeat the Golden Lion, but there shouldn't be any problems with retreating.
Just getting in touch with Aokiji at that moment meant that Garp would be able to solve the Golden Lion problem in the shortest possible time and finally see his grandson.

Aokiji's voice sounded on the other side: ”Then next...”
Garp waved his hand: ”Take care of the Flying Pirates...my ships will come to you in the 117th branch, and I will see my grandson in the meantime!”
