“Should be.”
Their gazes on Ye Chen turned to pity.
Chen Zhengguo glanced at Ye Chen’s direction and harrumphed coldly, telling the bodyguards beside him, “Go bring that punk to me!”
“Yes, sir!”
The dozen or so bodyguards rushed forth in an instant, and one of them attacked him with a chop of their hands without even saying a word!
Sun Yi could also feel the gusts of wind by her ear, and she hurriedly reminded Ye Chen, “Watch out!”
Just as the chop was about to make contact, Ye Chen finally put down his chopsticks and slanted his body, grabbing the hand with his own!
“You guys are not worth it. Not by a mile.”
His icy voice seemed to carry its own brand of magic as it echoed throughout the entire banquet hall.
The bodyguard whose hand was caught stood there, stunned for a moment, but then he recovered and pulled a dagger from his waist, lunging straight at Ye Chen! At the same time, he told the others, “The target’s a little tricky, let’s all jump him at once!”
In that instant, seven or eight fists came flying toward Ye Chen!
It was the verge of life and death!

Ye Chen shook his head exasperatedly and then with a jolt of his arm, he shook off the bodyguard’s grip! After that, a faint aura seemed to expand around him!
There was a loud boom, and the bodyguard went crashing into his comrades’ bodies nearby!
In a mere few seconds, the dozen bodyguards were all sprawled across the floor! They were rendered helpless!

It was because such a battle was too much of an assault to their senses!

All he did was attack once!
It had barely been a few seconds, but the whole lot of them had already been taken down?

Did this guy not come from the boonies to sell a formula as a scam? Were even the country doctors so ferocious these days?

Ye Chen gave Sun Yi a look full of trust and said, “You asked me to shield you from the invitations to drink, right? That’s why— from today onward, I’ll make sure no one will dare to force you to drink even a cup! No one at all!”
With that, he turned around abruptly and pierced Chen Zhengguo with his icy gaze!
