Chapter 321 - Spider Lair (a) (2/2)

”My lord, weren't you in a hurry? It will take hours to dismantle them. You will be wasting a lot of your precious time doing that. How about we give on them for now and come again after finishing the spider queen and her remaining minions?” Freya proposed.

”It won't take that long. Just a minute or four, and I will be done stripping the monsters from their only piece of clothing.” Elliot could make anything possible. His voice was full of confidence, and it made Freya feel that he could really do it.

What was a man who talked big, but when it came to actually do something, failed even to pick up a boulder? Nothing but a boastful monkey. Elliot wasn't one, so he immediately got to work.

Elliot stretched out his hands, and hundreds of life spheres surged out of hands, crashing on the sand. The life sphere moved about, hastily shaping into more than three thousand golden trolls.

”Go and dismantle them,” Elliot ordered.

The 3069 trolls did as he said. They stripped the dead beasts naked of their only clothes, making their football-sized balls taste the cold desert winds. Elliot didn't leave a single corpse intact. In two minutes, he had stored 3069 shells in his subspace.

He didn't have a use for them now, but as his life was full of surprises and uncertainty, he was sure they would come in handy one day.

”Let's go to the next area, shall we?”

Freya, who was staring at him, nodded her head cutely like a little klutz. She had lived in this place for too long and knew the shortest way to the spider lair. By taking that way, they would reach their destination in minutes. She was the expert, and so Elliot followed her without any complaints.

”My lord, may I ask what your superpower is?” Freya asked as they crept closer to the spider lair.

”Even I am not too sure about it.”

Freya was not stupid, and she realized that Elliot was kindly telling her that he didn't want to talk about his superpower.

Thus, she didn't ask about it again.

A couple of minutes went by, and finally, they came across the gates to the next area. In the center of the desert, there were many rocks. Each of them had a small but wide mouth, which acted as the entrance to the eighth area, the flesh-eating spider lair. As they came closer to it, a horrendous screech came out of entrances.

Clink, clink!

The sound of metal hitting against a solid surface echoed and reached Elliot and Freya's ears. They both realized that the enemies were coming for them. And they weren't wrong in the slightest as dozens of spiders crawled out of entrances.

The flesh-eating spiders were small in length but wide and had 38 tapered legs. Venom dripped out of their hideous mouth that had seven rings of sharp teeth. And the sin of gluttony, a maddening desire to devour flesh, be it of their kind or another, filled their eyes.

Truly hideous.

Elliot judged them as highly unpleasant to the eyes and stretched out his fingers at them. Out of his outstretched fingers, one deadly beam of energy after another shot out and crashed into the head of the venomous spiders.

It broke their outer shells, penetrated through their skulls, fried their brains, and came out of the other ends.

Each spider who suffered this fate dropped dead to the ground, blood trickling out of the fresh hole on their skull and smoke created by friction puffing out of the same hole.

As for the ones alive, some jumped on the body of their dead companion and started feasting on their flesh right there and then while the rest charged towards Elliot and Freya.
