Chapter 319 - Teleporting To The Ninth Area! (2/2)

Her plan was good, but there were plot holes in it.

The first was that she didn't have the slave mark on her. If there were someone among the enemies who could tell whether one was a slave to the spider queen or not, Freya would end up dead.

The second was that Elliot was too strong, and his strength made him confident that he wouldn't lose.

The last was that he didn't have time.

”No, I can't wait that long,” Elliot said, a serious look on his face.

Freya wondered why he didn't have time, so she asked, ”Why are you in such a hurry?”

”I have an appointment with my future wife today, and I can't afford to miss it,” Elliot answered truthfully.

Everything finally made sense to Freya. He wasn't interested in her because the image of another girl filled his mind.

Elliot didn't flirt or seduce a beauty like Freya, who could make a thousand heads turn just by existing because of Lisa.

He wanted to help Lisa out, make her own him another favor, and get together with her instead of seducing more girls into his harem.

Freya's heart broke. The man stole her first kiss, but his heart belonged to another. She didn't want to be the third wheel in their life, so she respectfully took a step back. She knew about the concept of a harem, but she was disgusted with it and didn't want to partake in such a mess, even if it meant giving up on the man who stole her first kiss.

”My lord, let's go.” She said in a calm voice as she moved ahead.

Elliot didn't find a single trace of her earlier sweetness in her voice.

He followed after her.

They were both running at high speed and covering dozens of meters every second.

After taking many turns, Elliot and Freya met a dead end.

”Did you take the wrong turn?”

”No, I am sure it's the right one.”

There was a wall in front of them and a wall to each of their side.

The only way left was to go back the way they came from, but that was what it looked like to people unfamiliar with this place.

Freya, who had lived here for many years, knew that the wall in front of her was the path to the 9th floor.

She went up to the wall and pressed her hand in the center of it. Her actions activated a secret mechanism of the wall.

A swirling hole opened up in the center of the hold. Elliot realized that it was a hidden doorway.

”My lord, before we head to the next area, please let me make some things clear to you.”

”Go on.”

”After taking this portal, we will arrive at the edge of area 9th, which is a vast desert that has many Sand Eaters. These monsters can sense vibration and energy fluctuations from a hundred miles away.. So, the moment we appear there, they would be alerted and will come darting towards us and most likely attack only you as they are familiar with me but not you.”
