After the battle, the lizardmen split into two factions too, one went rogue, and they did everything terrible. The other split up into tribes that protected the mainland from the outside. The wild ones acted like rouges, thieves, butchers, and mercenaries for hire who were ready to help anyone, including the spider queen, as long as they got to make a wad of cash.

With their help, the spider queen set her bases in the Sutherland, the territory to the south of the mainland. There, she cultivated her subordinates, raised her newborns, and prepared an army of various creatures, and attacked the mainland.

The elves successfully defended against the spider queen, and she failed to set foot inside the mainland once again.

The spider queen had attempted to overtake the mainland many times after that, but she failed every single time.

She stopped attacking, and it has been a few hundred years since.

However, everyone knew that she was cooking up something insidious.

Freya, who wanted to prove to the world that not all dark elves were terrible, took it upon herself to uncover the schemes of the spider queen and save the world.

”I can solve it,” Elliot said after confirming with Hope that he could destroy the slave mark on Freya's body with his unique energy.

”What did you say?” Freya's pretty eyes widened in shock.

She was in disbelief.

However, her eyes also told the onlooker that she wanted to believe in him.

If he set her free from the curse, then that would mean that she would be able to relay the spider queen's plot to her immediate superior and all her fellow comrades that also worked their asses off in the resistance organization.
