By the time Elliot and Lisa returned to the Academy, all of the families, who had lost the bet against him, were waiting in the guesthouses.

They were here to give up the artifacts they had lost to him.

Lisa's mother was also standing among them.

”House of Phillips, here to pay our debt.”

With many people acting as witnesses, they handed over three artifacts to Magic Emperor Elliot.

”House of Lewis, here to face up to our loss.”

A man clad in armor stepped out of the group of people and placed two artifacts next to Elliot.

”House of Jackson, here to fulfill our promise.”

Many people announced the name of their magician families before placing two, if not more, artifacts next to Elliot.

Lisa's eyes widened to the size of cups as she saw three small mountains of artifacts standing before her.

Many treasures twinkled like the stars, and some gleamed like the coldest frost.

The ones gleaming were all weapons.

The ones twinkling were either armors or artifacts with unique effects.

Elliot didn't spare even a single one of them and took away what they owed him. Mercy wasn't a word in his dictionary, especially when he faces scums.

”Now that you've paid your debt, I ask you all to leave, lest you disturb the harmonious environment of the Academy and become a hindrance in the life of the studious students,” Elliot said politely.

Everyone could understand that he was indirectly telling them to fuck off from the emerald mountain and away from him. Out of sight, out of mind. Thinking that he really wouldn't come knocking on their doors, all the magicians said him goodby while internally cursing him and made a run of it. Cowards they were, who liked to bully the weak and respect the strong. And it was shown to many today as they followed a young man's words without hesitation. Thankfully, there was not a single reporter or paparazzi here as the Academy forbade any such activities from being taken in its premise. Otherwise, Elliot's name would've appeared on the front page tomorrow.

Everyone except for one person left.

”Why are you still here? Want me to give you a special invitation?” Elliot asked while looking at the mistress of the Charlotte family.

How could she not understand that his special invitation meant that he would personally throw her out of the emerald mountains?

She still remained on her spot.

”What's your relationship with my daughter?!”

He knew that such a day would come. He was ready for it. However, did Lisa feel the same way? She answered his question by intertwining her hand with his. Surprised, he turned to look at Lisa, and he saw her thoughts written in her eyes. She was willing to be with him and ready to make it clear to her controlling parents that she would marry him.

Elliot purposely raised their intertwined hands to show it to the Mistress of the Charlotte family. She was such a nuisance to him that he had even forgotten her name. ”This should be enough to tell you what we mean to each other. I am going to marry her in a month. Stop us if you can.”
