Chapter 286: Joining the ranks of alchemist (b) (1/2)

The next thirty hands used blocks of rare woods to create fire. As Elliot didn't have a flame-type ability or mystic flames, he could only use woods to develop them.

”Do you see the inscriptions on the cauldron? The first allows you to amplify the effect of the fire inside the cauldron. The second one will enable you to control the fire that is in contact with the cauldron or inside of it. The third one allows you to instantly extinguish the first inside or on contact with the cauldron.” The Pill Emperor said.

”I got it, thanks,” Elliot replied.

Elliot used the second inscription to gain control of the fire. He sent the first inside the caldron and made them envelop the different ingredients. Now, he knew the melting points of the ingredients. It was just that the fire was too weak.

Thus, He amplified the weak fire by using the first inscription.

The fire burned the shell of the ingredients, leaving only their medicinal essence behind. Elliot split them apart into eight portions by using his streams of energy, then combined each into the shape of a gaseous ball.

Finally, A large amount of mana surged out of Elliot's body and into the cauldron, putting pressure on the eight gaseous balls. In the blink of an eye, all of them turned into fine pills.

”Genius like him are bound to outperform everyone under the heaven; us mortals can't compare ourselves to them.” The Pill Emperor muttered, feeling jealous of Elliot's talent and feeling pride that this person was his student.

Elliot retrieved his pills.

[You've created eight energy circuit widening pills!]

[You've ascended to the ranks of alchemists and completed the previous trial.]

[Congratulations! You've gained the recipe of energy solidifying pill.]

[I've stored it in your subspace!]

”You did well for a first-timer.” The Pill Emperor praised him.

In truth, the pill emperor exploded his cauldron ten times, burned his ingredients a hundred times, messed up at the medicinal essence solidifying process a thousand times before getting it right!
