Chapter 279: The Alchemys Legacy Second Challenge! (1/2)

Elliot and Thomas Shelby landed right in front of the academy's gates. A moment ago, they were behind nearly everyone. The very next moment, they surpassed everyone and reached the very top. Undoubtedly, neither the teachers nor the Pill Emperor had seen a spectacle like so in their entire life.

They looked at Elliot with gawking expression, wondering why have a being as powerful as he had come here to take the test. Was he serious about becoming someone else's student even though he was at the very top of the world?! Or did he come here with nefarious intentions?

Well, it was something that Elliot's actions will soon clarify anyway.

Thomas was surprised that they were already, and he couldn't stop shouting out in excitement.

After calming down, he stepped towards the gate, intending to push them open.

However, Elliot stopped him.

”What do you want?” Thomas asked.

”I have honored my part of the deal; now it's your turn to honor your words,” Elliot said while looking at the treasure on his body.

”Ah! Sorry, I was so excited that I forgot about it for a moment.” Thomas said, and with a smile, he took off all the things on his body and gave them to Elliot.

All of them had a lot of things, and Elliot thought that it would be perfect if he could bring them back to the real world. But he knew that this was all an illusion, and nothing here was real, not the people he was interacting with, not the Pill Emperor, nor anything else.

”Why are you still here?” Elliot asked Thomas, who still hadn't tried to open the gate.

”Can I really go first?” Thomas asked.

The deal was that Elliot would let him reach the top of the staircase before others, not let him enter the Academy before himself.

Thus, Thomas Shelby was a bit confused and didn't move from his spot.

Elliot looked at Thomas and then turned around to gaze at the gigantic gate, and after making sure that even ten thousand Thomas wouldn't be enough to even budge it, he said, ”Don't worry about nonsensical things. You can go and try first.”

”Since you don't mind me going first, I won't hesitate any longer.” Thomas Shelby thanked Elliot and tried to push open the gate.

'Huh, why is it not even budging?'

As Elliot thought, Thomas Shelby used all of his strength, physical and spiritual, but still failed to even budge the giant entrance gate.

'Maybe I am not using enough force?'
