Chapter 262: Interdimensional Library (b) (1/2)
”Put a few trackers on him,” Dante said to Pete.
To make sure that Elliot wouldn't get away unnoticed, Dante wanted to put a few tracking devices on his body.
The trackers would help them trace Elliot back to his world.
”I already dispatched a few his way,” Pete replied.
The tracking devices were as tiny as a dust particle, and they silently approached Elliot. No one could notice them because they were too slow. Pete and Dante believed that. Of course, the librarian noticed, and he could tell what was going on, but he didn't raise a fuss. As far as people don't start fighting or bickering nonstop, the librarian couldn't interfere or punish the naughty children. Such were the rules he had to follow, not that he didn't like following them.
”What cheap tricks.” Elliot clicked his tongues as he managed to notice the small tracking devices the moment they came in contact with him. It's because his senses were far sharper than an ordinary human. Because he had undergone much evolution, his senses have transcended mortal limits. That's why even the slightest increase in his weight didn't escape his notice.
His scrutinizing gaze landed on himself, and he soon noticed the tiny tracking device that was on his cuff. He took it off and pinched it between his fingers.
[There are three more on your clothes.]
”I can tell.” The last three tracking devices were on the back of his shirt. He had to take his shirt off to take them off of him.
”Cheap bastards.” He flashed a taunting smile towards Pete and Dante, the two troublemakers, before crushing the devices one by one.
”How is it possible? Not even a high-level trooper would notice them because they are just that small.
So, how can he possibly detect the tracking devices?”
Pete speechlessly looks at Elliot. Each time Eliot crushed one of the tracking devices, Pete and Dante's hearts would shed a tear. That's just how painful it was for them to watch their precious tech getting destroyed by a mere planetary race that could barely be considered interplanetary!
The tracking devices were the newest model in the market, only available to military personnel. Furthermore, they were so good that nearly all the spies wanted one for themselves. Each one was worth a diamond mine. Dante had to beg his eldest brother, who was the head of his family and the CEO of Mega-Tech, to get some. And now, Elliot mercilessly destroyed all of them!
”This asshole, he is not ordinary at all.”
Dante gritted his teeth and glared at Pete.
”Hurry up and determine his radiation level.”
Following his instructions, Pete took out a handheld device with a green screen in the middle. The radiation detecting device could estimate the total amount of energy in a person's body. In the vast universe, the strength of any person was determined by how many units of energy they possessed.
Pete activated it, and numerical numbers started appearing in the center of the green screen.
[10!]
Dante: Haha, so fucking pathetic!
[1000!]
Dante's laugh got stuck in his throat. He choked so hard that the onlookers felt as if an imaginary L suddenly plunged straight into his mouth and went down and deep into his throat!
Dante: It's impressive for such a young man to have 1000 units of radiation, but it's nothing great, definitely not great enough for him to act so arrogantly.
[10000!]
Dante: Sweating Profusely! Who the hell is he? So young yet already on the level of a high-rank trooper!
