Chapter 254: A disaster! (1/2)
The great constructs outside were lit up in blue light, indicating that they had already started to change the environment. Daytime ended in the blink of an eye, and night arrived in its place, casting a shadow over the creatures on the hovering stones. One such creature was showing a desperate, almost doomed expression on his face. He was kneeling in front of a handsome youngster, begging for mercy and crying tears of inky, black fuel!
”I am truly sorry, but mercy isn't a part of my dictionary. And it's not like I am doing something wrong or breaking the rules. As you can see, I am playing the game fairly, and that's why not a single piece of equipment responded to label me as a cheater. It's just that I'm too lucky, and you're too unlucky to have met me. Now, curb your sorrows, and if you are done overreacting, hurry up and give me my prize!”
Elliot didn't show even a single trace of mercy to the old robot. No matter how human-like, he was still just a piece of metal in his eyes. If Old Robert were a human, he would have taught him a lesson but still would have left him with a way out. But he wasn't. And thus, he was going to take everything away.
To express his intention, he stared at the remaining items behind Old Robert with endless greed in his eyes.
[Congratulations! You're the first person to win 200 times and take away all the prizes from the rock gambling shop!]
[Your name will be broadcasted all over this place for the next fifteen seconds!]
These notifications sounded out when he swept clean Old Robert's shop from everything of value. Two hundred items, each an artifact of great importance, were now stacked into the shape of a mountain in front of him. He had the deeds to all of them, meaning he owned them.
”I hope you stuff yourself to death, you greedy turd.” Old Robert cussed, closed his shop, and ran back home, sweeping and crying as he hurried away from Elliot.
”What a poor guy. I almost feel sorry for him.”
Although he said that, there was not a single trace of regret on his face.
”Now then, which gambling shop should I target next?”
Elliot turned around to look at the down-run versions of the casino around him. There were many treasures just waiting to be picked up by him. How could he dare to keep them waiting? What he didn't know was that the shop keepers in his surroundings had seen how he had overwhelmed Old Robert by relying on his luck, so they didn't have any intention of letting this disaster come to their doorstep invited. The moment he looked towards them, they all pressed the shut down button immediately. Some closed their shops and turned off their system, causing their bodies to fall to the ground.
So many bodies falling to the ground simultaneously came off as super strange to Elliot, making him wonder what was happening.
[This robot had shut itself down]

Thanks to the power of his godly right eye of wisdom, he found out that all who had fallen to the ground had shut themselves down.
'Why in the name of Paradise did they do that?'
He walked towards the shop nearest to him, but he couldn't come close to it, almost as if something invisible was trying to stop him.
[The shop is closed]
