Chapter 193: Breaking the Barriers Wall! (1/2)

”Oh, yes!”

Undoubtedly, Elliot used his authority over life to suck the life out of the carcass belonging to the demonic magic grandmaster. Under the watchful eyes of the majestic beasts, Benjamin's corpse dried up, and at the same time, warmness crept into Elliot, causing his cheeks to flush red. The drastic changed once again shocked the beasts. However, Elliot didn't care and merely indulged himself in the warmness.

Benjamin's body had many units of the essence of life as he was a serpentine devil, and thus, Elliot ended up gaining several thousand units.

What he wasted on Benjamin had come back to him along with a nice sum of interest—he amused himself while looking at the skinny corpse whose neck remained held in his hand.

With a somewhat disgusted but mostly pleased look on his face, Elliot jerked his hand with enough force to throw the corpse down the cliff. His body would've become great nourishment for his undead brothers; however, he threw Benjamin's corpse away because the person was so filthy that he didn't want his undead pets and his undead brother to eat him. He feared that they might be contaminated. Now, no one would want their loved ones to eat contaminated meat—the same goes for Elliot.

He smacked the dirt off his hand and turned around, only to see many pairs of eyes looking at him like he was the devil!

”What are you guys looking at?!” He said in a somewhat playful nothing.

”Ah, nothing!” Grace answered in place of all the beasts.

Elliot ordered them to hurry up and wrap up this place. The body of the serpentine devils had the blessing and curse of the serpent in them, so eating them was a big fat no. Although the undead could eat such accursed things without trouble, living beasts shouldn't consume them as the curse might harm them, encroaching on their vitality. Grace conveyed his worries to the beasts, who roared back in gratitude, telling him that they wouldn't eat them and that they were thankful for his timely warning.

”Ptui!”

Those beasts who had already taken a bite or two started to spit out in disgust, looking extremely silly and cute.

Elliot couldn't help but laugh while pointing at them.

”You stupid fools! Defecate somewhere else!”

The Guardians scolded the fools for acting disgraceful and ordered them to go spit out what's in their tummies somewhere else. With head lowered in defeat, the beasts went down the cliff and somewhere isolated to continue their business.

”Did you find out any clue to shattering the barrier?” Grace asked.

The four guardian beasts of the nightmare zone also stared at Elliot with expectations in their eyes.

”Yes,” Elliot said, and their eyes immediately lit up. ”There's an item within this cliff that is sustaining one of the five walls of the barrier that is covering the entire forest. As soon as we break it, the barrier's wall enclosing the nightmare zone will shatter, and we will be free to go in and out of this place.”

Grace smiled happily. There was no change in the expression of the guardians. It was because they weren't able to understand him, but once she translated what he said into the soul language, their eyes too flashed a smile, and an eager look appeared on their face.

”Then, let's look for it.”

”Wait! I will trouble you and the elders to first bring the intact crystal to me.”
