Chapter 178: Mister. Nightmare—The Good Man! (1/2)
By using his Authority to Recovery, Elliot managed to heal Grace. Although he had to use a lot of his precious energy, he didn't feel any regret. After all, she was now one of his people, and he wasn't one to treat his subordinates badly.
Grace, on the other hand, had her eyes widened like saucers. She turned both of her heads towards him as clumsily as rusty clogs, and he saw her looking at him with two pairs of eyes filled with disbelief.
”What's wrong?” Elliot asked, ”Why are your eyes threatening to pop out of their sockets? Why are you staring at me like that? Did I do something improper?”
”You healed me? How do you even know how to do what only the Saints in our memory are capable of doing?!” She asked, a thoroughly perplexed look vivid on her face.
Elliot was a bit taken by surprise by her words. He hadn't known that healing others was a big deal, not that he cared all too much about it. He wasn't at fault. After all, many magicians could heal others, and there were families solely dedicated to healing others. But from the way Grace was looking at him, he realized that something was not right here.
”Is the power of healing that rare in the spirit world?” Elliot asked.
Grace nodded her head.
”Yes, only one out of a million are born with the powers to heal wounds, and the ”Sky” bestow them the title of Saint.”
A thoughtful look appeared on Elliot's face. It seemed like a magician with the power of healing such as himself would earn a great deal of respect in the spirit world.
”Anyway, don't think too much about it, for I am a magician, and we're a lot different from the spirit race. Healing, destroying, and creating, we're capable of all of that,” he said. ”And yeah, you're all good to do, so please gather an army of Nightmare Spirit Beasts for me.”
”I will be back with them by the next Sunrise,” she said, flapping her wings, an action that generated winds that pushed her out of the pond.
”Wait! Don't return here!” Elliot exclaimed. ”Bring your army to the place that connects the central zone to the nightmare zone by Sunrise! I will wait for you there.”
”Alright!” Grace replied as she flapped her wings and charged forward. Her massive body blasting through the air and headed towards the depths of the nightmare zone—a place where monsters that owed a depth to her lived.
”What's that moving above us?”
”Isn't that the monster he was fighting?”
”Thank God, it didn't notice us and just went on its way.”
Lucy, Oliver, Arthur, and the others, who were walking back to the Beast's Den, watched Grace flying over their heads, and immediately their mouths gaped and their eyes widened in awe and shock. Wasn't that monster supposed to be fighting Elliot? What is it doing here? Won't they know by asking about it from him? They were sure that he was still alive as his creations were around them, but then, doesn't that mean that the monster followed its words and stopped attacking him after he survived three of its attacks? Do monsters nowadays even have the patience to uphold their vows?
Chip! Chirp!
”Can you guys hurry up and bring me back to my master before I breathe my last?!”
