Chapter 151: Bloody Nightmares nightmare (b) (1/2)
Has it gotten so old that its senses had started to dull?
Or was it too pleased after hunting and devouring a prey for the first time in a hundred years that it forgot to stay alert?
Right after, the tree caught the blue speck that was floating towards it ever so gently in its sight.
”Huh, what is that?”
At first, it felt apprehensive, but after a moment, calm returned to it as it realized that it was merely a harmless speck of light; that's what its senses told it.
”What a joke!”
It nearly laughed seeing the speck of blue light.
How could someone even begin to imagine that something so little would be able to harm something as sturdy and thick as him? The nightmare tree tagged Elliot as a mentally handicapped person
'His intelligence is lacking,' it thought as its mouth changed into a human-like smirk.
Though, it must admit that he was far cautious than the person before who came charging at it, only to get all of her bones crushed by it.
Anyway, its guard lowered as it thought that his attack wouldn't be able to even leave a scratch on the surface of its body!
However, it was too arrogant and didn't want anything to blemish its unholy body.
One of its branches stretched and came charging towards the blue speck of light.
A moment later, it whacked it, and then chaos ensured!
”Bam!” The moment its wooden branch came in contact with it, a metallic vibration rang in the air.
Many things happened in that very second.
First off, the blue speck of energy released shockwaves, which blasted off the wooden branch of the bloody nightmare as they permeated the surroundings and spread out.
Everything that the blue shockwaves touched, from the wooden branch to the nearby trees, were pulverized!
Elliot managed to run out of the range of the shockwaves, but the spirit tree got hit by three of them, and its exoskeleton shattered apart, turning into fine grain of dust!
Then, the blue speck of light vibrated so intensely that a void appeared in its place.
It sucked in the things present around him, from the purple light and moonlight to the soil, branches, leaves, uprooted trees, and even swallowed them as a whole, as if it was some kind of black hole.
The pressure in that void was so great that whatever it sucked was smashed into pieces into an instance of a second, becoming a part of it.
In the nine-tenth of that very second, it grew bigger and bigger until it could no longer as if it had reached maturity.
The bloody nightmare watched all of this in horror, and it was pulling out its root from the ground to make a run for it as it knew that it was going to explode.
Before it could do so, though, the void exploded!
”Bomb!!” It sounded as if the entire world was going to come to an end.
The energy it was made of, as well as everything inside of it, blasted outwards at a sound barrier-breaking speed.
A resounding reverberation spread throughout the forest as the rays of light and shards of many other things smashed everything in their paths, blasting apart the clouds in the night sky and destroying a wide enough area of the forest.
One such beam charged straight towards the monster. The rays of Sapphire light blinded it entirely from what was happening, and it didn't even get the chance to make a run for it before it passed through it, pulverizing it to the roots.
