Chapter 62: Lord Aiden is also awed (2/2)

The supreme king of magicians was the strongest magician of the king evolutionary stage, and the first lance was none other than his dearest companion, the woman he loves the most. The first lance has given them the items she obtained from the ancient settlement of an unknown civilization, knowing full well that she had no way of knowing how to use them, and the only one who could help her is the appraisers working in the artifact gallery.

To her dismay, most of the best appraisers has already alienated themselves from the artifact gallery after gaining enough fame to start their own business and make big money, going to different places and striking a deal with powerful families to escape the grasps of the artifact gallery and the wrath of the charlotte family, while the ones left behind didn't have enough knowledge to appraise her items.

The first lance hand gone to the best appraisers to have her items appraised. However, they also failed!

Thus, the first lance left two of her items in the artifact gallery, hoping that one day, an appraiser with unmatched knowledge will be attracted to the artifact gallery and solve the mystery behind her items.

”Oh,” Lord Aiden turned his chair around to face his daughter, looking at the sheets in her hands with his eyes filled with interest. ”Bring them here. I will verify the information myself this time.”

”I understand.” Johanna nodded, stepping up to his table for the first time in her life, and she then placed the artifacts and the sheets on the table.

Johanna carefully placed the items on the table, along with the sheets of paper given to her by Joker, passing them to Lord Aiden.

Taking the sheets, Aiden first read the most important parts of information about the artifacts, such as their name and the way to use them. It only took him a few minutes to do so, and he also memorized them.

He memorized them to fulfill the requirement of the artifact he uses to verify the authenticity of information. The head of the Charlotte family had gifted him this artifact to congratulate him for successfully running the artifact gallery, but Lord Aiden knew that this will be taken away as the artifact gallery isn't doing as well as it used to since most of the best appraisers has betrayed him, stabbing him in the back after earning fortune and gaining fame and going their own way.

”You loyal one calls to you, great god. Answer my prayers, supreme lord of truth. Verify the authenticity of the information I have come to recently possess, God of Truth and the supreme lord of wisdom, Veritas.” Lord Aiden uttered the keywords to activate the special function of the ring-like artifact on his middle finger.

The ring released an orange glow, brightening up the room, and after a few seconds, the orange glow dimmed, changing to a bright green glow that blinded their vision. Then, that glow vanished.

Not just Lord Aiden, but Johanna's mouth also widened to a complete circle, and their eyes remained opened wide because they were so shocked that they unconsciously dropped all sort of pretense.
