Chapter 22: Third Stage of Magical Realm! (1/2)

Elliot spent the next few minutes peacefully settling in his new home. He started to store a few of his stuff in the cupboard, the shoe rack, and his spatial bracelet with limited subspace. The spatial bracelet the red-haired beauty, Nina, gifted him could only contain twenty items and not a single item more.

His attention shifted to increasing his strength after he emptied his backpack from all the items and stored the useful one in his spatial bracelet.

He had 144 units of the essence of life and only needed 100 to level up. He used up six units of the essence of life to ace the last test.

He felt a little hesitant about leveling up.

Leveling up will increase his magic energy capacity to 30 units, increasing his lifespan by three years, unlock the inventory of the artifact, and also give him more than 3 God's breath of Growth, but leave him with only fifty units of the essence of life, forcing him to limit the use of his supernatural ability.

He decided upon leveling up after taking a few moments to consider it.

The pros outweighed the cons!

<You've leveled up to the third level of the Magical Realm Evolutionary Stage>

<Your Magic Energy Capacity has increased to thirty units>

<You've gained 5 God's Breath of Growth>

<You've unlocked the Inventory>

He checked out the inventory first and found out that he could store a lot of his stuff inside of that place, more than a hundred. He just needed to think about storing something inside of the inventory and as long as they don't have the ability to resist, they will be deposited inside of it.

He added the five points to increase his stamina and speed. His speed increased to 17 points, and his stamina increased to 14 points. The effects were instant, and he could feel that his reflexes, agility, mental endurance, and physical endurance has strengthened by a few times.

”It's still as addicting as it was the first time,” Elliot said, relishing the addicting feeling of using God's Breath of Growth to improve bodily functions and strengthen oneself.

He decided to see what it will take to reach the next level.

A quick look at the screen told him that he needed 200 of the essence of life to advance to the next level.

However, he was left with only 44 units of the essence of life.

He took a deep breath, knowing full well that this was the con brought by leveling up, an action he performed willfully.

”I will try to limit the use of my ability and do my best to not get in trouble with others. However, I won't let others push me around. If someone messes with me, I will teach them an unforgettable lesson.”

He only has a limited amount of the essence of life left and is forced to limit the use of his ability. After all, the ability to manipulate God's breath consumes it every time he utilizes it.

”Let's just sleep. Tomorrow the first day of attending classes in the academy.”

Elliot laid down on the bed, ready to fall asleep, when all of a sudden, the door to his room opened up, and in came his roommate.

Elliot looked at the person who entered the room slightly illuminated by the moonlight coming in from the window, only to notice Theo Rose looking at him, and both looked at each other for a while, Elliot amazed at the wonder of fate and Theo feeling happy to be in his presence again.

”What a surprise. Looks like we are gonna be stuck with each other for a year.” Elliot said, looking at Theo.

”Haha, yes,” Theo replied, smilingly.

”You can turn on the lights if you wanna unpack,” Elliot said, allowing him to use this place as his room as technically it belonged to the two of them.

”No need,” Theo replied.

”Why?” Elliot asked.

”I store all of my stuff in my spatial storage devices,” Theo answered, sitting down on the bed and taking off his shoes.

The spatial storage device was just one among the many technologies that humanity salvaged from the deserted settlements of the ancient civilization. These devices were created through a complex procedure but contained a subspace of their own, allowing a person to store a limited number of items.

”Alright,” Elliot said.
