Chapter 10: Instructor Nina Olsen (1/2)
Elliot noticed that the examiner wasn't here and that everyone was patiently waiting for the examination to start after looking around the examination room.
”Look, it's that loser,” Cain said to his friends, pointing at Elliot.
”For the past several years, he hasn't managed to increase the count of magic energy his body can contain, yet he still has the face to come here.” Cain's friend chided Elliot in a rather loud voice that reached everyone's ears.
Elliot turned to look at the source of the familiar voice, only to see Rodriguez talking shit about him, and he kept on looking at him with a nonchalant expression.
”He's just a fool who's going to embarrass himself!” Cain exclaimed at the top of his lungs, feeling annoyed by his nonchalant expression.
A few students who thought Cain's words to be funny laughed, pointing at Elliot, uttering words of ridicule.
Elliot huffed, rolling his eyes as he looked away from them while saying, ”Still better than two street dogs barking at innocent passersby. And a bunch of retards laughing after hearing the barking of dogs.”
What followed after he said those words was pin-drop silence.
Not even a single student could come up with a way to retort him.
”You damned loser! How dare you act out!” Cain shouted, standing up from his seat with a face redder than a baboon's butt, acting as if he was ready to use his ability to beat Elliot to a pulp.
”Calm down, man. Don't destroy your future over a loser.”
Cain sat down on his seat after hearing the words of his Rodriguez.
”Goddamn!” Cain wanted to vent his anger and frustration on Elliot, but he couldn't do that in a public place.
What if someone in the room records his actions and reports him to the association?
His entire future will be destroyed!
”Haha, damned fools,” Elliot smirked, crossing his legs, awaiting the arrival of the examiner.
After a few moments, a young boy with spiky blonde hair walked up to Rodrigues and his group of friends, and said, ”Say, Cain, where's Alexander?”
”I don't know, Jack,” Cain replied in an unfriendly tone. He wasn't a part of their group because they were bullies, and that's why Cain disliked Jack.
Jack was Alexander's older twin brother.
He felt tense and worried, feeling as if something bad has happened to his younger brother since he hasn't seen Alexander in hours.
”Uh, where did he go?” Jack walked away from the group of arrogant youngsters while saying those words.
Elliot eavesdropped on their conversation but remained silent, having no intention to mention what happened to Alexander.
”Maybe he is still trapped inside that place? Hee, hee, hee!”
