Chapter 97: Sword City (1/2)
Eastern Wilderland was one of the largest inhabited territories in the Eastern Region. It made up almost a quarter of the total area of the Central Part.
In the north, its outskirt became a natural demarcation line between the Central and the Northern part of the continent.
In the east, Eastern Mountain Range stood between the barren Wilderland and grassy plain of the Eastern Part of the Eastern Region.
In the southeast, there was a very famous peak within Eastern Mountain Range which stood tall piercing the cloud like a mighty sword, people called it Sword Peak, where Heaven Sword Sect existed.
Below the mountain, there was an ancient city whose origin was not the least mysterious compared to Eastern Wilderland.
Sword City.
The holy ground for sword cultivators.
Nobody knew since when the city had existed.
The publicly known history stated that the founder of Heaven Sword Sect was the one who built the city to support the sect.
However, for erudite and undying ancestors, this so-called 'history' was only a crude attempt to cover up the truth.
Although Heaven Sword Sect was known as a remnant from the Ancient Era, many experts knew with absolute certainty that the history of the sect was still young, much younger than the city itself.
For those who were privy to the secret of the faraway era, they were at least aware that before Heaven Sword Sect was established, there was a sect called Immortal Sword Sect that mysteriously disappear only leaving its name behind.
There was speculation that the true owner of Sword City was Immortal Sword Sect and Sword City was built for a certain purpose.
As for what its purpose was, nobody knew for certain.
Unlike the older generation, the younger generation didn't care much about the legend and mystery of Sword City.
They only knew the present glory of Sword City.
This was the city where almost all of the Sword Cultivators in the Eastern Region dreamed to visit at least once in their life.
What made Sword City very attractive to Sword Cultivators was only in this city you could freely discuss, exchange pointers, and do business without minding class or status.
Everybody was equal in Sword City and the only thing that matter was Sword Dao.
This was the charm of Sword City.
”Look, look here this is a middle-grade Earth-rank Snowfall Sword. Come here, come. You won't be disappointed!”
”Selling a set of flying swords, only 5 million gold! This is the last stock! Don't miss it!”
”Tutor for Falling Leaf Sword Art in one week you'll achieve initial success! Guarantee money back!”
Anything related to Sword Dao could be found in this city.
Another reason Sword City became a famous holy ground for Sword City was the architecture of the building within the city.
The house and building looked ordinary but, if it were carefully examined, the exudes a faint but sharp sword intent.
The building somehow had a presence of an unsheathed sword.
This was one of the reasons that some people really believe the theory about Immortal Sword Sects.
If it was not an immortal, who could make a building that was covered with sword intent for who knew how many years?
Only Immortal could achieve such a feat.
