Chapter 30: The Unfortunate One (1/2)

”No! Don't come here!” Ina shouted as she waved her hands in panic. She knew if Bari kept on running towards her, then the Dreadling would attack all three of them, and she wouldn't be able to save Silvi.

Bari was not in the mental state to process Ina's words. All he wanted was to get away from this frightening creature behind him, and unconsciously he felt it a bit more safe to run towards Ina, thinking that she could help him out.

But alas, he didn't think before that Ina already had her hands full with taking care of Silvi.

Ina already stopped running as she saw the Dreadling was just a few meters behind Bari, and it would only be a few more seconds till it catches up to them.

She pushed off Silvi to the other side and tried to pick up her arrow from her quiver quickly.

”Run!!” Bari shouted as he got close to Ina, but unfortunately, the Dreadling was only one meter behind Bari.

Seeing that the Dreadling was about to pounce upon Bari, Ina came in between Bari and the Dreadling with the bow and arrow in hand.

But she could barely aim her arrow with fear and panic, dulling her reflexes and the Dreadling, getting a new target pounced upon her!

*Kreeee~*

”NO!!” Ina cried hysterically as the Dreadling latched onto her, bringing her down while biting onto her soft flesh with its powerful and sharp teeth.

”INA!!”

”Ina, no!!”

”KILL THAT MONSTER!”

Nena, Alv, Cayden...all three of them felt their hearts stopping upon seeing Ina go down from the Dreadling's assault.

Each of them cried and roared as they rushed towards Ina to kill the Dreadling that had sunk its venomous teeth into her shoulders.

They all saw how poisonous and terrifying its venom was when it simply fell on one's skin. So they did not dare to imagine what would happen to a person if the venom was brutally injected into their body.

The injuries sustained because of its bite would be not at all dangerous compared to its venom. And this was the exact reason why all three youngsters felt their hearts writhing upon seeing the Dreadling biting Ina.

They didn't dare to think whether Ina would even survive from this. No, it was more like they refused to think about anything unfortunate.

At this moment, all they thought about was to save Ina by killing the Dreadling as fast as possible.

But still, there were still a few meters away from Ina, and they saw how pitifully she was crying and desperately struggling to shrug off the menacing monster atop her.

Bari was too scared to turn around and assess what was going on behind him. All he cared about was running as far away as possible before the monster caught up to him.
