Chapter 2244 (1/2)
The long tunnel has an end, even if there is no light outside the exit, but it is still an end.
Batman and Jack have no time to study what the red light is, because in a few seconds at most, the car will rush out of the hidden tunnel and reach the island.
There will be more villains there, the army controlled by the mind, which is bound to be a tough battle.
Jack coughed a few times. He stealthily wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. The closer he got to the island and the closer he got to the clown, the more loud the laughter in his mind would be.
In order to keep his sanity, he bit his tongue.
Maybe the bat in the car didn't notice this, or he did, but didn't care. He just said in his usual tone:
”get ready to fight.”
Then he pressed several buttons in the car, and all kinds of weapons, of course, were non lethal, such as heavy machine guns loaded with narcotic bombs or launchers filled with tear gas grenades.
Of course, Jack's fake clown can go to see the woman, and the controlled villains may carry him in a sedan chair.
But bat knew that all she wanted was a clown, and she was definitely not on the guest list.
No matter what, we can't let them meet alone. A clown who doesn't play well may come back.
That's not good. Although Batman doesn't trust Jack very much, at least he is stable. Even if he is still a clown, he is also a clown who does not do so much harm to the society. He can't let the former personality come back.
This means that bats themselves have to break through layers of blockades and force themselves into the conversation. Once the female clown shows signs of hypnosis or psychological control of Jack, he immediately interrupts.
”If you ever find out I'm out of my mind, just kill me. I want to die as a person, not a monster.”
Jack understood that, of course, and he began to say his last words.
”I won't let that happen to you, and besides, I will never kill anyone.”
Batman does not want to want to refuse this request, Jack's words remind him of the past, the clown laughed again and again to let himself kill him.
I feel that again. It's not a good sign.
”Or the way you don't kill? Well, you'll think I didn't say it
Jack smiles and shrugs, but his hand stealthily touches the pants pocket on the other side of the door where he hides a gun.
If things really get worse, he'd rather commit suicide. It's better to die as Jack than to live as a clown.
Once again, the silence diffuses, and the end of the tunnel is just around the corner.
The two men in the car were ready. They clenched their teeth and looked serious as the black bat car rushed out of the tunnel exit disguised as an abandoned lighthouse, with wood debris and dust falling on the snow.
Then...
there was no more. Then, what they saw was an open-air freight yard. All the villains had been knocked to the ground, handcuffed and roped, lying together in a coma like a dead pig.
”Ah, this is the scene that never thought about.” Jack looks out of the window and says to Batman, ”they look so comfortable, and they have smiles on their faces.”
