The ancient stars refer to all the luminous celestial bodies in the sky.
Stars ~
is an ancient astronomical term. A night usually contains one or more stars. However, the ancients divided all over the sky into four star fields, from which the four images of Qinglong and white tiger come from.
In the spring and Autumn period, the four images were subdivided into twenty eight constellations. In the East, the south, the West and the north, there is a patron saint, namely, Qinglong, Zhuque, Baihu and Xuanwu.
There is a saying in volume 3 of Sanfu Huangtu: ”Canglong, Baihu, Zhuque and Xuanwu are the four spirits of heaven, and they are square and square.”
Constellations ~
