”Can I just keep your towel since you don't need it anymore?”

”And why would you want to do that?”

”Look there is no point me using a new towel when I can just use that, you don't need it anyway since you have a new one.”

”Yeah but you also have a new one, what are you going to do with that?”

God must she ask so much questions.

”Nothing, we'll just keep that in case someone needs a new one.”

”Can the two of you stop shouting across rooms, some of us are trying to sleep.”

”Well it's not like there's another way for us to talk since somebody said I can't be 10 metres near you guys.”

”Well you shouldn't be talking anyway, go to sleep.”

I tried and tried but for some reason I just couldn't. I couldn't close my eyes and travel to the world of dreams. I searched and searched but I just couldn't find sleep. Giving up, I got out of my bed and walked towards the living room, to find I wasn't the only person deprived of sleep. She couldn't rest either.

”What are you doing here at this time of the night?”

”I should be asking you that question, butterfly.”

”Don't call me butterfly,”she commented, shooting me a dark glare.

”Why not, butterfly?

”Butterflies are beautiful, elegant, gentle and naïve; everything I'm not.”

”Well you definitely aren't naïve or gentle or elegant for that matter.”

”Wow you sure know how to make people feel better about themselves,” she muttered sarcastically.

”You didn't let me finish, those qualities are not what makes a butterfly, a butterfly is still a butterfly whether it's has those qualities or not. What I'm saying is that anyone can be a butterfly because it's beauty is not about how it looks, it comes from the inside.”

”Did you hear that?”

”My heartwarming speech?”

”No, someone is at the door, I can sense the person's pain and sorrow.”

”What, you're just tired, go to sleep .”

”The person is hurt, I can feel it, go get uncle.”I rushed out of the room, arriving later with the rest of her family.

”Yna what's all this?”

”Someone in pain is at the door.”

”What, I doubt that,” her crazy Uncle said while rushing to the door.

”See told you there is no one there.”

”I felt it uncle, the person must be around here somewhere.”

”Yna wait, where are you going, do you know what time it is?”

I couldn't help but follow her, I had no choice, my feet moved on their own accord. We ran and ran, through the trees in the dark. She kept going and going, but then she stopped and fell to her knees.

”Yna, what's-”

”Help me carry her, she's in so much pain.” There it was right in front of me, a girl our age swimming in a pool of blood. We struggled to get her back to the house, it took twice as long as the time it took us to find her.

”Oh my goodness, where did you find her?”

”In the woods grandma, we need to help her.” We laid her on the rug as her grandmother went to get some cloth to clean her wounds.

”She's losing so much blood,” Yna said panic in her eyes. She placed her hand on the wound trying to stop the blood. Light shimmered over her pale skin.

Did her hand just glow?

She lifted her hand, shocked at what had just happened. The body sucked back in the gushing blood, covering the wound with layers of skin until it was hard to believe there was any injury and like magic, life seemed to slip back into the body.

She really is a witch. Dad was right.

”She's awake. How did you do that?”

”I don't know.”

”You're a witch, my dad was right.”

”She isn't a-”

”Didn't you see what just happened, she just healed a human.”

”She's not a witch, is that what you were told?”

”What is she then?”

”She's a Starhian, they are people with powers.”

”So you all have powers.”

”No, just her.”

”What's going on? Where am I? Who are you? Please don't kill me.”

”We are not going to kill my dear, we rescued you, you are safe with us. What's your name my dear?”

”Amor,” the girl replied weakly.

”You need to rest, we will speak tomorrow, Yna take her to Ara's old room.”
