Chapter 20 - COMPETITION (1/2)
Yun Jinghan watched the straight back with a sullen expression. Inside that veterinary clinic, when he stared at her, there were strange images that popped out of his head. Right there and then, he made a decision to find out who she was and what's her connection to all the strange dreams and memories that had been boggling him for the last 8 years since he woke up from coma.

8 years ago...
Yun Jinghan's eyes peeled open and a perfect white ceiling greeted him. Unconsciously, he put a hand under his pillow trying to grab something and felt at a loss when it wasn't there. When he realized something wasn't right, he tried sitting up, only to return to his original position because pain pervaded everywhere. His arms, legs, and head felt heavy. Apart from his mouth and eyes, it was impossible to move anything.
”Thirsty,” he murmured faintly but it called everyone's attention in the room. His maternal grandmother, Grandma Shen ran to his side immediately.
”You are awake-you are awake.” She cried out repeatedly.
”Wa—ter.” He quaked.
After he was given water, it quenched the dryness of his throat. Only then was he able to talk.
”What happened to me?”
His grandmother and sister looked at each other before they turned to the doctor.
”You don't remember?” Yun Yi wiped the tears in her eyes.
Yun Jinghan racked his brain but nothing was registering in his brain. Instead, his temples began to throb.
”I told you many times. Stop joining that risky competition. Why are you so stubborn to fly your plane when the weather was terrible? Do you want to die so badly?” Grandma Shen clacked.
He gazed up looking confused. He found his grandmother's words weird. In his dreams, he fell off the horse and his body was dragged around before the animal jumped off the cliff, pulling him along. However, he didn't utter any of this.
Later, he found out that his aerobatic aircraft had an engine failure while he was in the air. He made an attempt to make an emergency landing however, the plane was uncontrollable. So he jumped out but the parachute failed to deploy so he rolled down the slope. Yu Qing was the one who told him because he has no recollection of it at all. But his memories prior to getting into the accident were still intact. The doctors run tests but they couldn't come with a definitive diagnosis.

Yet, when he looked at her, something gets triggered inside his brain.
”It's going to be difficult.” he murmured before he returned to his residence every time he's in the city. Amy and K2 were in the living room talking about something but stopped when K2 saw him breezed in. He called Amy to his study.
”Did you find out what I asked you?”
Amy nodded and placed the documents on the table. ”This is what B1 found.”
When Yun Jinghan didn't reach for the papers and leaned on the chair, Amy realized he was waiting for her to report whatever's on the paper. She told him everything from Dr. Luo's childhood, including her supposed wedding to the heir of the Wen Family till her sudden disappearance 8 years ago. After that, there's a void. Nothing else could be found about her. It was only 3 years ago that she moved to the city and worked at GM General Hospital.
K2 complained to Amy that there's nothing particularly catchy about Dr. Luo except she's beautiful. He already expressed a dislike to the other woman. Amy hasn't met the other woman yet, but reading the other woman's profile, she can sense that Dr. Luo is going to be her savior in the future.
'Oh. I couldn't wait to pair them up.' She thought with a smile.
”Tell B1 to dig deeper. If not, he'd better be prepared to go to Moscow.” Yin Jinghan ordered. It isn't curiosity that's pushing him but it was because the time she disappeared coincides with the time he had that accident. That mishap years ago was an attempt in his life, not a happenstance. However, he never told his grandmother and sister about it.
”Affirmative boss.” Then she cleared her throat, feeling nervous to tell him bad news.
