Chapter 434 - Web Of Lies Part 7 (1/2)
*UNEDITED*
This girl shouldn't even be here. But most-likely she tried looking for Kazuya first. He will always be the back up, huh? However, that's fine. At least Lyn even thinks to come to him when she is weak and fragile. He sighed, 'he keeps falling for this trap.' Yes, it's a trap. How many females have acted like this towards him? He already saw it all. So Rhys thought he built up an immunity.
One of the main reasons why everybody trusted him with this job was that. Initially anyway, until they found out his connection with Lyn. Rhys tried so hard to hide it. But, on the end somebody still found out. He debated about it but eventually laid down on the makeshift bed.
Lyn immediately understood and made her way across. Once she arrived in front of him, he
”You're alright to sleep now?” Rhys asked.
”Mmmm,” Lyn mumbled as she snuggled up to him.
'Too careless,' Rhys thought. If he wasn't wounded, he would have messed with her already. ”It feels nice hugging me right?”
”Ah, I guess.”
”And watching the moon is romantic.”
”Mhm...” Lyn quietly said. Her breathing slowly slowed down. Rhys watched her the entire time so he said a few more things before he watched her eyelids close. All the tension and unease seemed to vanish from her sleep.
Rhys watched her sleep, watched her cling to him., it felt good. This situation felt great, he could hold her so closely without anybody telling him what to do.

She was gentle, she was fragile.
She was incredibly breakable - Rhys never intended to treat her like glass or like a doll. However, when he learned how reckless she could be. He decided to change his mind, before he knew it he was watching over. When she has nightmares or gets scared, she is like glass. Sometimes he is afraid to hold her because she would
But it was fine since he was there. Nothing would happen. He'd keep her safe. His arm held her tight.
Lyn could sleep all she wanted. She could let her guard down, and he wouldn't stop her. He would be here for her, he wouldn't leave her alone. Rhys knew he was contradicting himself. Didn't he just say something about acting distance and all that?
None of that mattered now, as long as he was by her side, Lyn would be safe. It was the first time he was able to be by her and feel good enough to fall asleep too.
......
It doesn't bother him.
No matter how many times Beth repeated him. The girl sat across from him, a old style game of go board between them.
It really doesn't bother him, despite him already finding out. The black haired girl still insist on remaining anonymous about coming in to his room at night and taking care of him.
