Chapter 344 - The Kidnap Part 2 (1/2)
After getting a bucket of juice spilled on her. It took everything for her to stop brother from getting angry at the person.
Lyn stepped into the bathtub in a daze. Brother is acting a bit strange, is it just her? She eyed the water filled with bubbles and roses. 'A rose bath,' she's never had one before. But the aroma was undoubtedly wonderful. What's more, this bathroom, it's really impressive. She's never seen anything so beautiful before.
She wonders what brother has been up to this entire time. Judging from the state of affairs here, it should be obvious what he has been up to. To build something like this from scratch. He must have used a lot of underhanded means; she is no longer the same person she once was. So, Lyn was not going to criticize him too much. Both of them have changed
After soaking in the bath for a few minutes, Lyn realized something amiss.
”Brother?” Lyn called out.
”Hm?”
”Um, I'm done. Could I have some clothes and a towel?” She just came inside here without thinking.
At that moment, she sees the door creek slightly, and there stood Zepher. But he kept shifting his gaze.
”Uh…” Lyn stared awkwardly at the door.
”Hurry up and take it quickly,” Zepher averted his gaze. Lyn nodded and strolled over and took the items from his hands. Zepher quickly closed the door behind him, leaving her stunned and confused. What's wrong with him?
__
Damn, this is so bad.
He just got a glimpse of her skin. What is it with this situation? He was indeed going to bring her here anyway. But maybe he ought to have thought this through when he sent that letter. He was in a bad situation, he panicked. What if something happened to him before he saw her again?
”Brother, I'm finished.”
She still calls him 'brother.' too. The two of them aren't related, but Zepher supposes it's hard for her to get out of the habit.
”Sit here.”
”Okay,” Lyn happily made her way over. ”Brother, brother, will you tell me some stories?”
”Your sixteen, but you still act like a child.”
Lyn puffed her cheeks up in annoyance, ”Why can't I? Brother Zepher, I haven't seen you in so long.. Why can't I ask you to spoil me?”
Zepher chuckled, ”Alright, alright. What do you want to know?”
”This scar,” Lyn pointed to his eye. ”When did you get it?”
'You...you betrayed..'
'Wait, Andrew, listen to..'
”Brother Zepher?” Lyn called out.
”It's nothing. I got it from a skirmish.”
”Be careful,” she looked down. ”I've been very worried about you. Nobody told me anything. So I decided to stay put and wait.”
”Do you still believe in me?”
”Of course, I do! You're my brother.”
”I'm not, though, remember? I'm not your brother Lyn.”
”Oh,” Lyn mumbled. ”Right, um. ”
Zepher buried his face in her neck, ”When will you see me as man,” he whispered so quietly. Ever since he learned they weren't siblings, he was so happy.
”Zepher?” Lyn said, puzzled. ”Are you alright? Do you feel sick?”
”No, it's nothing. Just stay put.”
”Big brother, Zepher, say…”
”The brother thing again, why are you so hung up on that? We haven't seen each other in such a long time.”
Lyn paused and nodded. ”But I've always treated you as my brother, even if you ask me to change my mind. It is difficult to do so.”
”Indeed, then maybe I should tell you straight. You should treat me as a man.”
”Uh?”
Zepher sighed, 'Why is she still so clumsy even now?' He gently caressed her hair. ”Your hair is still wet, wait I'll grab a towel.” He moved away from her reluctantly and made his way to the cabinets. He found a clean towel and walked back over.
Lyn wasn't on the couch anymore; she was looking out on the balcony. ”Brother, this place is lovely. How long have you been living here?”
