Chapter 271 - Prince Andrew P7 (1/2)

”I shall take you out, so do not be too upset with me.”

Now Andrew understood why she was strangely quiet since she saw him. It's because she overheard what the others have been gossiping about.

It still feels odd for him for saying it. However, he knows it will happen eventually. Andrew saw the markings on her calendar. When he saw that he couldn't help but panic. So it's happening at last. He's always wanted to have a date with her. But he's got zero experience in that department; he won't know what to do.

If the date goes well, maybe, he could take things to the next step. Although his chances are low, very low and he knows she's waiting for that guy to return. He can't control himself anymore. It's not like he loves her in that manner, at least that's what he thought. But Andrew wanted the relationship between them to work. If they were both in love with each other, wouldn't that be better?

Before Gabrielle could bat an eyelash, he had closed the distance between them. Andrew pinned her against the wall. Her wrists were being held in his steel-like grip as he placed them above her head. Eyes filled with l.u.s.t and desire. Bloodshot red eyes.

It surprised Andrew how translucent the skin of her neck was, and was a testament to how delicate and sheltered she really was. He chuckled to himself, wondering how many men would have willingly given up their entire fortune to see her like this... and in this rather compromising position. He settled his head at the crevice of her neck, tickling her cheek with his soft, silver tresses.

”My Lord?”

”I really am going crazy.”

….

It happened far too quickly, then again, attacks were never planned. Andrew reacted quicker than Gabrielle, right after he said those words to her, he pushed her down. The windows smashed into pieces, and the assassins came in. For the past few minutes, he had been fighting recklessly until the guards came.

”Hey... Gabrielle...” he began. The last thing he expected was for Gabrielle to tackle him the moment he finished fighting. Since then, he had been doing nothing but console her.

”I was so scared... I didn't know what I'd do... If you had died.”

This was a first for him, no he's heard it plenty of times before, her weak voice. Even weaker than it had last night. It's strange; these days he is seeing more of her fragile side. Then again with his careless actions recently, it's only natural she is concerned.

”What are you talking about? If I didn't fight, you would have got hurt. I don't think I'd like that.” Andrew said this as he softly placed his hand on Asuka's shoulder.

He knew they had an audience, and this conduct was unprofessional. But this wasn't a situation where he should worry about that. Andrew increased his hold on her, wrapping his arms around her slender waist.

”I want to stay with you for a while.”

Andrew immediately knew what she meant. His gaze softened as he felt the girl's hands shaking. Her entire body was still trembling, so he gently caressed and patted her back. ”You don't have to....” She doesn't have to; he already takes up a lot of her time. As the only daughter of her household, Gabrielle has a lot of responsibilities.

”But that's what I want.”

”Should you be here? What about your family?”

”Don't. Don't say that now. Why didn't you at least contact me?”

Andrew gaze softened, and he kisses her eyelids softly, ”Gabrielle, you know why.”

He may be her fiance, but he knew that the girl's parents were still considering other marriage partners for her. One of the reasons why he had been avoiding her was this.
