Chapter 238 - Engagement Banquet (2/2)
. . . Hearing a small pfft on her left, Pupillam saw that Kyouya was barely able to contain his laughter. Idiot. But it's indeed rare seeing this guy compliment someone, or rather if he can say those lines so easily then why does he never compliment the Princess?
As the party proceeded though, Pupillam could only make traces of caramel and dark brunette. Those people should be stationed in the outdoor areas; all except Rhys. We've done all this preparation, but she's hoping that nothing will happen. The reason why Prince Andrew did not allow his sister to come here was because it was far too dangerous.
”Doesn't it bother you?”
”Lady Rokoju has always had severe jealousy issues. But as she grew older, I was expecting her to get over them. Turns out that isn't the case, but even so she should have at least greeted you first. Asking to greet another princess… ”
Pupillam shook her head, ”I'm alright. I'm actually glad she didn't, the proposal is supposed to be fake after all.” That's right; it's fake for now. When she properly sorts out her own feelings, she will ask him.
”By the way,” Kyoya murmured, ”Have you noticed yet? Second couple on the left.”
Pupillam looked over, and her eyes widened horrified. Kyoya chuckled, ”It seems like you have one more thing to deal with tonight.”
A deep sigh escaped her lips, ”Why can't she stay put?”
”Good luck, miss, aide.”
...
”Princess Lyn, you shouldn't have come here. Your sister will riot, and your eldest brother..” Pupillam found a quiet spot and dragged the Princess over here. Even then Pupillam knew that with people watching her every move, it would be bad to remain with her for long. ”You cannot be here, Princess.”
Lyn smiled, ”It's okay; I'm wearing a mask.” Indeed, covering the Princess beautiful face was a gorgeous mask. She really is well hidden; nobody should be able to recognize her.
No, no that's not the point here. Pupillam sighed, ”Princess Lyn, you should return...”
”There is no need, we're here on a date,” somebody pulled the Princess from her side.
”Rhys!”
”Here's your drink. I got you some food too.”
”Thank you, Rhys.”
A date? Pupillam glared at Rhys, and Lyn laughed, ”Don't worry, I just needed somebody to come with me. Rhys just happened to be free.”
”You better take good care of her,” Pupillam murmured.
Rhys smiled, ”Relax when it comes to Lyn. I'm very good at dealing with her matters. Right, my dear?”
”I'm not yours.”
”Yes, yes.”
It should be fine right? Pupillam hesitated, but eventually, she left the two be. She didn't want to stay with them too long and draw attention to the Princess. Still, Pupillam looked back at the Princess and Rhys. Wouldn't it be bad if people saw them together?
