Chapter 169 - Time (1/2)

”I heard you met with that person,” Allen suddenly brought up.

”Ah…mmm that's right …” she trails of sensing his tone and placed her hand on top of his free one, ” However, you don't have to worry. Nothing happened.

That's right, even though something could have happened. Lyn won't deny that when he touched her hair, that she was in complete control of herself. It would have been easy to get swept away into the momentum then. However, he quickly pulled away from her. That's right; the two of them already understand what must be done. They are already leading individual paths now. Being together …at this time, it wouldn't be right.

”I see, that's good, isn't it?”

”Yes.”

Before there was somebody other than Kazuya, somebody who tried to win her over, that person was equally as persistent and yet, nothing happened. Lyn, however, decided that it was best that she met up with him since her freedom was no longer restricted. When she got a chance to slip away from Allen the past week, Lyn met up with him. She heard from mentor that guy was in the area, so she decided to meet up with him.

A deep sigh escaped her lips as she recalled what happened. Didn't he, still look hopeful? It was just her imagination, right?

”Your relationship with Kazuya is sure to get better now. Now that you are no longer distracted,” Allen whispered.

It already has, ever since then the two of them would meet each other with more comfort and ease. However, Lyn pouts. ” Your really going to let this slip, huh? As the fiance, you really ought to be jealous.”

While Lyn knew that he had no romantic feelings for her, it still struck her as odd that Allen is not doing anything regarding the situation with Kazuya. She's still formally his fiance; he's going to let this go? Unless he has somebody else, he has feelings for? Lyn recalled that woman at the ball and then Lady Rei. Maybe one of these two? It was hard to say.

Allen chuckles, ” It appears as though your desire for any form of amus.e.m.e.nt has become quite serious. Do you really desire such a showdown?”

Oh, so Rhys must have told him. ” Once in a while, it would be nice to spice things up. I can't deny having an interest towards those romance novel like scenes.”

”Yes, yes. But one must take into account the seriousness of the matter. Besides, I believe I monopolize your time quite a bit already, Princess.”

True. She sees Allen more often since he came here. Despite her hectic schedule, the platinum-colored haired prince is always awake despite how late she gets back. He indeed has quite the workload too. But thinking about it now, the timing is too much of a coincidence. She wonders if he's been waiting up for her. Hearing a knock on the door, Allen drops the brush.

”Enter.”

The doors opened, revealing a beautiful lady wearing moderate clothing. Ah.

”Lady Rei.”

”Hello Princess Lyn, Allen, why don't you let her go for a bit?”

Allen sighed, ” I presume there's a reasonable explanation for this?”

Rei smiles, ” Yes. It seems like she has a visitor. Not exactly a prince charming like yourself. But, he's quite the knight.”
