Chapter 134 - Princess Lyn and Prince Allen P4 (1/2)
If he wanted her to leave, then she would do so.
While she is not as meek and obedient as most people think, Lyn always listened to Allen. She didn't know what it was, but ever since she met him when they were kids - she listened to everything he said without fail. Maybe it was because Lyn spent so many years in love with him. Perhaps it's because she was curious about the man her parents chose for her.
Maybe it's because she wanted to learn more about him. No, it was probably because 'Allen was born to be King, he's fit to be a ruler,' from the start this man excluded an aura fit for a King. His current status as a Prince is not enough.
At times Allen reminded her of her eldest brother, at least in this department. They are both royalty who stand above the rest, and yet their current positions do their talents no justice. It's a waste for him, having somebody like her as his fiance.
That woman she saw with him before, however, wasn't a better fit. If she were to think of the list of ladies in the Empire, Lyn thought back to their engagement banquet. There were many ladies there who greeted Allen and yet ignored her. However, there was one person that stood out to her.
Lady Cordelia, it was only a brief chat, and the woman was the complete opposite of her. Yet at the same time, the girl gave off the same feeling. It felt nostalgic when she spoke to her, it was like looking at a mirror of her self.
Allen suddenly turned to face her and reached out to play with her hair. It surprised Lyn, ”What are you doing?” she questioned.
”A bit too late for me to ask you to leave it seems.” He replied casually.
Lyn raised her eyebrows at this, her room isn't far from his though. So it isn't too late.
”You should cut your hair, Lyn.” Allen suggested, ”I really like it short.”
But Kazuya likes it long, and as for her... Well, Lyn didn't have an actual opinion on it. Long, medium or short, it didn't matter. She wasn't beautiful, nor would she make many public appearances. Whether her hair is messy, or she had terrible skin, whether she was ugly. It didn't matter. Yet that didn't stop her from taking care of herself with the limited resources. She didn't have feminine products like her sister, no scented perfume, or bath soap and hair products. But Lyn made do with what she had.
Lyn laughed at that thought, how stupid. Even though she knew full well that it made no difference. Her laughter is cut short when Allen suddenly kissed her. It was brief, and yet it was a kiss on her lips nonetheless. Lyn didn't have time to react, as he deepened the kiss. His arms wrapped around her waist, drawing her close.
”Allen,” Lyn managed to say his name when he briefly pulled away. Her entire body felt like it was burning, and she cursed, 'That stupid man must have put something in the drink he gave her,' Lyn thought. She knew something seemed amidst, and yet, it would have been stranger if she refused the drink.
Allen pulled his mouth from and broke the kiss. ”We should stop” he whispered softly, his lips grazed her forehead lightly.
This man is far too kind to her; he won't do anything to her. Yet, was it just her imagination, or did she sense his desires? When he kissed her, it felt unusual. She felt it, the same passion whenever Rhys kissed her. ”No,” Lyn replied. She was only testing him.
It can't be the same as Rhys. Rhys only l.u.s.ts after her because of her appearance. He doesn't actually have any feelings for her after much thinking that's what Lyn concluded. However, something seemed wrong with that theory too.
Allen shook his head, ”Do not be reckless, Princess. You have Kazuya.”
