Chapter 349 - 349: Continue (1/2)
”Well,” Daunting Spirit toughen himself up and narrowed his eyes in a challenging manner at White Bird. ”Considering that he's still up and standing, I would've guessed none of those before me provided anything useful.”
White Bird stared blankly at him. Her eyes void of any trace of emotions, making it incredibly difficult for him, or anyone for that matter, to discern what she's thinking.
Oh sh*t. Did he sounded too arrogant just now? Was that tone equivalent to a death sentence?
It may not for White Bird, but for these two not-so-gentle gentlemen beside him is.
”Care to repeat that, brat? Who do you think you're speaking to?”
”We need no one's charity work.” Silent Death c.o.c.ked his katana's blade on Daunting Spirit's chin. ”If our boss desires it, Qilin's presence would permanently be erased. And so will you and your little group if you don't know how to hold your tongue back.”
D*mn, these guys are hella nuts! Best not to aggravate them anymore. Though he keeps on saying that to himself, but words comes out automatically before he could process them.
That's why his elder sister and that woman calls him a troublemaker.
”You're clever,” Lillie retracted her finger from his forehead and straightened up. ”But still naive to think that you'll have a chance to leave here unscathed.”
That was merely a threat to test the limit of the boy's bravery. Nothing but empty words.
Besides, he's young. So far, she didn't see anything that would make him pay for his life.
He said he has school after this? Well, color her surprise to know that he's quite the diligent student.
A shame. His future would've been brighter if he hadn't joined the Underworld. She could only watch and see how far he'll survive in this godforsaken side of society.
The tremors in Daunting Spirit's chest loosen up by a margin as White Bird drew back to her seat.
”Silent Death, Silver Dragon, withdraw your weapons and allow the poor boy to state his business without any discomfort.”
Ah, so that guy was Silver Dragon. His identity couldn't be mistaken, with that silver, full-face mask shaped like a dragon and all.
He doesn't know anything about this man personally. His employer wasn't being specific.
He only said to cause a ruckus in White Bird's base to make the big boss come out, as well as the newest recruit of the Elders; Silver Dragon.
What he wants with him, he has no clue.
