Understanding what Ethan wanted to say, Lillie immediately felt awkward.

”Uh..I'm..home?” It was more like a question than a statement. Ethan raised his eyebrow and softly glared at her.

Lillie cleared her throat, ”I'm home.” She said, properly this time. Ethan nodded in satisfaction, walking towards her, he gently grabbed her wrist.

Storm growled at him. Don't you dare put your contaminated paw on my Mistress, human!

”Nanny Ying already prepared dinner. You clean up first, I'll fetch you in 5 minutes.” Lillie absentmindedly nodded. She didn't know why but, these pass few weeks she've noticed that Ethan's attitude had changed drastically.

He had also taken good care of her when she was sick, always reminding her to take care of her health, to never skip her meals and to not exert her time too much on work.

What is his agenda? What's the reason behind all of his good deeds towards her?

Ethan smiled, causing Lillie's ears to redden and her heart skip a beat. What's wrong with her? Why is she getting affected by his charms again?

Back then, Lillie noticed Ethan by his looks, then his cool personality. She admitted that he was the first person she knew who acts much like her. But, because Lillie is the type of person who's an expert in keeping her emotions and expression on bay, Ethan would not even know that the looks she was giving him were of admiration and awe.

Even if you were to beat him to death, he would not know a single thing..

Changing into a more comfortable and casual clothing, at exactly five minutes later, Ethan came knocking on her door. Lillie open the door wide enough for him to see her room.

Without her knowing, Ethan's eyes caught a peculiar object on her bed. Is that...a box? The box's key hole was uncannily identical to the key Lillie's wearing as a necklace.

So, it was not an accessory after all. Ethan was relieved that it wasn't a sentimental accessory given to her by a potential lover. But now, he felt that this seem to be worst than a mere sentimental accessory. If Lillie were to wear the box's key, it means that the box's contents were really precious!

Lillie was careless this time. She failed to extinguish Ethan's change of expression, as her mind was occupied by the thoughts concerning the Underworld. Lillie was feeling stressed last night so she pulled out the box of letters from under her bed and began to read them.

If Lillie really wanted to know who the sender was, she could've done it a long time ago but, there was this fear that made her stop. Her mind told her that the sender might already be happy with his life and found someone new. His letters may or may not be just a small crush that was brought by his teenage mind. In those years, people are tend to be unserious in terms of relationships.

They thought it was love and then realized at the end that it was mere puppy love.

She assumed that he would no longer want to see the woman he had a had crush on for so long but never received her affections in return. She may have considered it though, if he made himself known.

Lillie is an open-minded woman, she was open for relationships but, no one had the guts to court her or even stand beside her. They all felt inferior, unworthy in her eyes because of her immense achievements in life.

That is why Ethan, whom felt unworthy to even touch her fingers, did everything to be her equal. But, where did that led him?

”Regarding that property I sent you last week, do you have any thoughts about it?” After they're finished with dinner, Ethan and Lillie (plus Storm) went to the living room to discuss things concerning their company.
