Gin POV-

”The dungeon exploded.” Xelu

”What?!?!” Gin

Thankfully our forces are safe. It seems that the wretched are all rushing towards the explosion for some reason. Then I hear it. A high-pitched buzzing that grows to drown out all sound.

'Everyone back into the nest. Lockdown the nest as well. Something bad is going to happen.' Gin

I give the order through telepathy and right before we close up, I see a dark figure emerge in the dust from the explosion.....

Drow Royal Guard POV-

The scouts we sent out have not returned. Since we have no idea on the situation we can only send more and develop a force to combat these abominations. Well, our forces are all gathered already. 20,000 troops from the royalty and nobility and 30,000 zealots from the religious faction along with 15,000 mercenaries and slaves to use as fodder. A force this big hasn't been assembled in quite a few years. Keeping a force of this size a secret is impossible so, the fallen dwarves may try to use this as an oppurtunity....

We shall use half of our forces to keep them in check.... That leaves a little over 30,000 troops to work with. We set up camp a dozen kilometers away from the site of origin. When mid-day rolled around, something happened. A massive explosion. That can only be two things. Dozens of high-leveled fire mages cast a massive spell or.... Dungeon explosion..... I look at my subordinate who is cleaning her armor. She nods and quickly climbs a tree to get a better view. She has an skill called eagle eye which is just what is needed.

”I see a large dust cloud. Its higher than all the cliffs in the area. Huh? Sir. There is a figure in the cloud. About 100 meters in height and 50 wide. The legendary creature most likely....” Drow scout

”Shit, I know.... The Zephyr Lord broke out. What is it doing?” Royal Guard

”It's slowly floating over to where the origin point of the wretched should be. It seems that some of the dungeon creatures are following it as well.” Drow scout

I have a headache coming on. This has turned into a delicate situation. It doesn't matter if the wretched devour the dungeon creatures but.... If the Zephyr Lord dies.... The wretched will eat it's flesh and bunch of epic-rank ones will come about. Well, that's if that thing can even die. There has been campaigns many times larger than our current one that have tried to take that behemoth down. They all failed miserably though. No matter what we did it would assimilate it's spawn into its own body to regenerate.....

What is it planning on doing? It's size won't allow it to attack the wretched hive. Unless it plans to tear them out or flood the hive with its spawn? Who knows.... Legendary creatures, monsters, and people are ridiculous. Let alone the rumors of beings above them. I take off my armor and climb a tree as well. As I get to the top, a buzzing sound spreads over the forest. I look over to see it emerge from the dust clouds.

Really an ugly behemoth. A massive fly with an elongated trunk and is covered in thousands of small wings. Millions of smaller flys surround it as it levitates to the wretched hive. I must get the spatial mages ready to establish a gate. With a 'few' sacrifices the gate can encompass all 50,000 of us.

”Get the spatial mages ready as well as the blood mages. We're getting out of here.” Royal Guard.

”Really a waste of time and resources, huh, not that it should concern us. Do you mind if I have a little fun with some slaves first?” Drow scout

”Do so if you want to remain behind.” Royal Guard

She mumbles something and walks over to the mages tents. Plotting against me again? Why do so many among our race have to be like this.

*Sigh
