Lee's sneaked a glance at Xia Li, seeing that she was not paying too much attention to him, he heaved a sigh of relief. This Jin Xi'er was really going too far!

”I'm full. I have something to take care of so I'm going out today. You guys take your time.” Xia Li said as he put down his tableware and walked out.

Xia Chunhua followed closely behind Xia Li. Jin Xi'er secretly informed the two brutes that they had gathered together not long after, and they followed behind Xia Li the whole way.

Xia Li bought some meat buns and steamed buns at the market, and distributed them to the beggars on the streets. He also gave some medicinal pills he brought to some sickly beggars, and after walking for a while, he bought a bag of food and went to a restaurant. He asked for a jug of wine and walked outside to drink a few mouthfuls.

”She sure knows how to enjoy herself. Shopping and buying wine.” A trace of jealousy flashed across Xia Chunhua's eyes. He looked around and realized that there was no one in the alley.

”Both of you, go and tie her up and drag her to a corner where no one is.” Xia Chunhua's face turned serious as he gave the order.

”Yes.” One of the black faced barbarians answered, a wooden stick in his hand, and with a bang, he smashed it onto Xia Li's head.

The two barbarians put Xia Li into the gunny sack they had prepared beforehand, and carried him all the way to the forest outside the town.

The two barbarians tied Xia Li onto a tree. Jin Xi'er searched her entire body from head to toe, but to his surprise, he didn't find any painkillers.

”She doesn't have any painkillers, Mother.” Jin Xi'er said to Xia Chunhua in disappointment.

”Then wake her up and ask her.” Xia Chunhua thought about it and replied.

The two barbarians were naturally anxious to do a meritorious service in front of the Rich Man Yang. Upon hearing Xia Chunhua's words, a black faced barbarian rushed to the front and slapped Xia Li in the face, waking her up from her unconscious state.

Xia Li only felt a numbing pain in her ears as she touched her burning cheeks. Opening her eyes, she felt the chaotic world around her.

Her line of sight gradually grew clearer. The two brute stood in front of her, arms crossed, and through these two tall figures, she saw Xia Chunhua and Jin Xi'er who were standing behind her.

”Why am I here? My face hurts!” Xia Li asked miserably.

”My good niece, I don't care where you are. You only need to know that you will be spared from physical pain if you hand over the painkiller's prescription.”

Xia Chunhua held onto a whip that he had found from an unknown place, and played with it in his hand.

Xia Li's scalp tingled. This Xia Chunhua looked extremely greedy, but when he went all out, it was still terrifying.

”Mother, give me the whip. I'll hit it.” Jin Xi'er took the whip from Xia Chunhua's hands and walked to his side.

”Xia Li, stop fooling around. Hand over the pain medicine formula.” After she finished speaking, she swung the whip in her hand, causing Xia Li to close her eyes in fright. With a snapping sound, the whip landed on a tree behind Xia Li and directly whipped away the bark, causing her face to be hit by the whip as well.

Xia Li's heart raced wildly. This mother and daughter pair was not kind at all.

She took a deep breath as she endured the fear in her heart. Looking at Jin Xi'er, ”My entire body is tied up and I feel uncomfortable, let me go. Otherwise, even if you beat me to death, I won't tell you the prescription.”

”Where are your conditions!” The black faced man scolded Xia Li.

”If I give you medicine, will you really let me go?” Xia Li asked.

”Of course, you should give it earlier, so there's no need to go through all this suffering.” Jin Xi'er grinned, his eyes brimming with satisfaction from having succeeded.

”The medicine is hidden. Let me go, I'll bring you guys to find the medicine.” Xia Li seemed to be helpless as he sighed and said.

”Stop playing tricks on me. Just tell us where the prescription is, and we'll go find it ourselves.” Jin Xi'er didn't believe her at all, and kept his guard up around her.

”Then don't think of anything.” Xia Li closed his eyes, refusing to talk.

Jin Xi'er refused to believe him and passed the whip to the dark-faced brute next to him, exhorting him, ”Keep hitting her, let's see when she can hand over the pain medicine formula.”

Evil thoughts rose up in his mind, as he received the whip and passed it to his companion, who leaned close to him and whispered a few words in his ear. His companion's lips revealed traces of happiness, and quickly received the whip.

The black faced man then grabbed Jin Xi'er's wrist, and walked deeper into the forest.

”What are you doing!?” ”Let go!” Suddenly, a bad feeling arose in Jin Xi'er's heart. He pulled out the hairpin from his hair bun and thrusted the hairpin towards the brawny man's arm.

Ah!” The boorish man cried out in pain. The back of his hand was cut open by the hairpin. He slapped Jin Xi'er's face, and took the hairpin from her hand, tossing it onto the ground.

”You lunatic, let my daughter go!” Xia Chunhua was surprised by how things turned out like this. He no longer cared about Xia Li and ran over to save him, grabbing onto the leg of the black faced brute without letting go.

”Old woman, you should ask for the whereabouts of the painkillers!” The black faced man kicked Xia Chunhua in the stomach, pushing her to the side.

”Ugh!” Xia Chunhua curled into a ball in pain, and watched helplessly as his eyes filled with tears as he was dragged by the black faced brute into the depths of the forest.

”My daughter …” Xia Chunhua now even had the heart to die.
