”What do you mean a kid with his uncle visited you claiming to teach you business?” Isaac Laurent raised his eyebrow as soon as he heard the absurd claim by Emmeline. He had no such person on the list! Why would he bring in a 12-13 year old kid for Emmeline anyway? Even Alex was not qualified to be her teacher. They needed to be the best.

”That is what I am saying. How could they sneak in when you were the one who made the list? Sir Laurent, I am sensing a heavy breach in our security!” Kim Su Won almost yelled at this man. He did not even know!

She had actually recalled seeing those two during her exam too, in the crowd. But she had not questioned it then because she was not sure if they had been invited by the earl or not. Plus, it was too minor at that time to think about it.

”I know what you mean, let me look into it,” Isaac Laurent immediately called the butler of the house and gave him a few instructions.

”So, have you decided on your teachers?” he asked after he was done with that.

”Majority of them, yes,” she replied.

”Majority? Do you need more time or more people?”

It was great that she was being given a choice. She had never been given one in her past life. Even if her soul was twenty four years old, she had not had exercised her freedom to choose much. So, she was grateful to this man. But she was feeling unsettles.

If this man were to ask for outrageous things in return, she was going to be devastated.

Weren't all adults like this? They could only exercise absolute influence on young kids and that's what they all did.

”No, I have chosen the people. Here is the list. Please proceed,” Kim Su Won finished the document o her table and handed it over to Isaac Laurent.

She could trace the slow movement of his red eyes as he went through the list. Gosh, his eyes looked marbles in sunlight. Would Alex's eyes look the same? She was so curious about it but he had not visited her after the exam, even once. Hmph! So much for friendship and such.

”This looks good. Most of them are my first choices too. Good job my lady,” Isaac Laurent patted the girls head and left in excitement at once.

Kim Su Won was too stunned to speak. When was the last time her dad had patted her head or praised her? What was this sense of pride and giddiness in her heart? Was she lacking appreciation in her life so much that it was feeling as if thousands of sunflowers had bloomed in her heart?
