”Lunar new year? Are you going to celebrate something?”
”I am.”
Mo Jinyao contemplated. He understood that although the monetary value of what Xie Jingyu offered wasn't a lot, the changes it brought with it was amazing.
There was an island that focused on casinos in the country. This island was different from others as the laws there was made by the owner of the casinos, and a third of them belonged to Xie Jingyu.
It was impossible to get in on the market there unless one owed a casino themselves, and while only a third belonged to Xie Jingyu, he was the one with the most say on the entire island.
What he offered was one of his casinos, alongside several restaurants and one hotel.
This was an immensely alluring offer, and Mo Jinyao could not help but squint his eyes.
This was almost too good to be true, but then again, the shipment of goods contained some danger, and he understood why this hot potato was thrown to him.
But for some weird reason, what he felt was the most important to Xie Jingyu was not the goods, but the deal about peace around the Lunar New Year. What could be happening around Lunar New Year that required their gangs to become peaceful?
”I have my wedding just after the Lunar New Year,” Xie Jingyu said again. He would not be able to hide it, so he might as well be forthcoming about it.
”I see,” Mo Jinyao finally understood that Xie Jingyu was a hopeless romantic. For the sake of romance, he was not against giving away such a mighty hand.
”Well then, I will be discourteous if I pretend that I don't want it,” Mo Jinyao smiled, but under his smile was a bit of heaviness. He felt that he had to see this woman that Xie Jingyu had fallen for. How could she possibly warrant Xie Jingyu to throw a money-making business away like this?
Although he wanted to see Yu Huiyin, he was not stupid enough to tell Xie Jingyu. He had already realized that this man was hopelessly in love with his wife. Hence he was never going to allow any other man near her sight if he could avoid it.
It seemed that he had to tread carefully not to alert Xie Jingyu, but still have a good talk with the woman who was said to be his wife.
The two continued talking, and during their conversations, Xie Jingyu bragged about Yu Huiyin more than once, making Bai Lian by the side so furious that her face went pale and her nails dug deep into her palms.
When Mo Jinyao finally left, Bai Lian could not hold back any longer. ”CEO Xie, why would you give up one of our casinos just for the sake of peace? It is not worth it!”
