Chapter 73 - Inscurity (1/2)

Bai Lian was feeling incredibly indignant. She was here first. She was here on official business. Just because that woman had appeared and started crying, Xie Jingyu had forgotten all about her and even scolded her for not leaving.

Unable to take the reprimanding gaze, Bai Lian finally sighed and turned around, leaving the office. Although she seemed dejected, she was fuming mad on the inside. How could Xie Jingyu be so enchanted by a little vixen?

Yu Huiyin did not care about Bai Lian any longer. Xie Jingyu's reaction had proven to her who was more important to him, and his actions had caused her to be ashamed.

She dared not lift her head again but buried it in Xie Jingyu's chest. She felt happy but sad at the same time.

What was she supposed to do in the future? Could she stay with Xie Jingyu, or would he also abandon her one day?

She was suddenly uncomfortable. Unknown to her, her hands had gripped Xie Jingyu's shirt tightly, and it crumpled from her grip.

Xie Jingyu was unsure about what was happening to her, but he could feel her sadness, and that she was far from the normal Yu Huiyin.

He was not sure of what to do; his heart was feeling very uncomfortable, and guilty. He could feel her insecurity, and yet he did not know what to do, so he used his hands and placed them on both sides of her face.

Yu Huiyin looked at Xie Jingyu. Her eyelashes still had tears hanging on the small fine hairs. Unable to hold back any longer, Xie Jingyu lowered his head. Her pitiful expression made his heart hurt so much that he could not hold back any longer.

His lips gently landed on top of hers. The soft lingering touch, the rubbing of lips against lips, the softness of her skin, all of it made Xie Jingyu feel intoxicated.

Yu Huiyin was also stunned, but she did not resist. Instead, she closed her eyes and slowly, but unskillfully, she began responding.

Xie Jingyu had acted fully out of instinct. He had not thought that Yu Huiyin would respond to him like this, he had been sure that she would have slapped him, and he could hardly control himself as he deepened the kiss.

He could feel that Yu Huiyin was turning into a puddle of water in his arms; she was so soft that he had to hold her up or she would fall, and he was ecstatic that he had kissed her by instinct.

By the time the kiss ended, Yu Huiyin was trembling and breathless in Xie Jingyu's arms, and he held on to her with all his might. He did not even feel her extra weight. Instead, it was as if a blanket had been wrapped around his heart, warming even the deepest parts of his soul.

Gently, Xie Jingyu allowed Yu Huiyin to lean against him. He dared not speak out of fear of her suddenly realizing that he had kissed her and then be furious.
