Xie Jingyu was feeling brilliant. Yu Huiyin had not hesitated to acknowledge that he belonged to her, and while many were wondering why he allowed her to act so unbridled, he was swelling with pride and happiness.

Yu Huiyin glanced at Xie Jingyu. She was not worried that he would be mad at her, but she was very curious about his reaction to her claiming ownership over him like this.

As her eyes landed on his face, she was surprised, before she shook her head in laughter. He was beaming like a ray of sunshine, full of happiness and excitement.

It was clear that there was nothing he wanted more than to be praised by her, so she smiled slightly. He was simply too adorable.

The many people present had by now realized Yu Huiyin's importance to Xie Jingyu, and while the women were green with regret, the husbands were still trying to figure out what had happened.

Xie Jingyu took Yu Huiyin's arm and placed it on his, as he guided her away, leading her towards a few other essential members of the entertainment industry.

He even introduced various investors of the movie that was about to be shot, while putting in a good word for Yu Huiyin.

Yu Huiyin had never expected that Xie Jingyu would mention the business she had planned on starting so casually to others, but she was not angry at him. Instead, she felt warmth. He was paving a road for her like this.

She knew that these people were all willing to invest in her as long as she had the backing of Xie Jingyu, and while she was grateful for this, she wanted them to acknowledge her for her own skills. Hence, she refused to accept any sponsorsh.i.p.s from Xie Jingyu directly.

But Yu Huiyin had to admit that she had less resistance towards Xie Jingyu, and after the clarity that hit her earlier, she started to see affection in Xie Jingyu's eyes.

At first, she thought she was hallucinating, but after looking into his eyes, she knew that she was not mistaken. Xie Jingyu clearly liked her!

Her heart began beating rapidly; her eyes widened in shock. Why would someone who was seen as the most eligible bachelor in the entire country like her?

Xie Jingyu did not notice that Yu Huiyin's body had stiffened. She looked at Xie Jingyu as if it was the first time she saw him, her eyes filled with disbelief.

She tried to convince herself that she had seen wrongly, but after considering everything he had done for her, she knew that she was not thinking wishfully.

She felt how her cheeks suddenly flared red, as she thought of how she had slept on top of him every night. She remembered how she had tested him before, and she was suddenly at a loss.

Had he liked her from the start, or had it come because they were so close?
