Many of the famous directors had brought their wives to the event, and all of them were given the task of striking up a conversation with Yu Huiyin while trying to get as much information about her as possible.

If they could use her to get more investments from Xie Jingyu, then it was definitely worth it to get close to her, but having old men talking to a young woman was a little too suggestive, so instead their wives were given the task.

Yu Huiyin was unaware that the many directors had marked her as a target, but it was not only them who were curious about her, many of the young celebrities were green with envy and burning with jealousy.

No one could understand just how difficult it was to make it in the entertainment industry. It was a constant fight for resources, and many were fighting with both teeth and nails to get good roles to advance.

If they had a strong background, then no one would dare fight against them, if they had a wealthy lover, then they could bring sponsorsh.i.p.s to movies, and they would be able to get better roles.

Many of the women who had arrived at the gathering had hoped to make some connections with wealthy investors, and their dream target was Xie Jingyu. It was not only Yu Bingqing who had targeted him, but every woman also dreamt about being his lover.

Now Xie Jingyu had arrived at the gathering, much like they had anticipated, but he had not arrived alone, which felt like being kicked in the guts for most of the single women.

Xie Jingyu completely ignored the many people who were observing them, and gently led Yu Huiyin to a table where an investor was standing.

This investor was the Director of the daughter company, the investment company that had gotten involved in a movie just recently.

”CEO Xie, Miss,” the Director greeted them and bowed slightly. ”It is an honor to see you attend today's celebration. We hope to hear from a few of the directors, and invest in a couple more movies after tonight.”

The Director did not hide his purpose at the gathering at all. He was here to hear the pitches from the various movie directors, to decide whom to invest in in the future.

Of course, no deals would be made at this evening itself, but he would have an idea about whom to talk with in the future.

Xie Jingyu nodded his head and looked at the Director. ”Let me introduce you; this is Miss Yu. Miss Yu is my female companion, and her plan is to open a business in the entertainment industry.”

”She is not interested in becoming an artist, but rather wants to open an agency?” The Director was shocked, but not only him, but also all the other people who were listening in on their conversation. How rich was this woman to be able to start a business like that so willfully?

”That's right,” Xie Jingyu nodded his head and smiled. ”In the future, make sure to keep some investments open for her movies, as well as her drama series.”
