Chapter 16 - Bullied (2/2)

”Here I was, thinking that you were socialites, young ladies of prominent families! That you were taught from young how to behave and be a role model for the nation's young women!

”It is undoubtedly an eye-opener to see you lose control of yourself to the point of splashing me with red wine.

”Although I am from a humble background, I know that one has to pay back what one receives, and in this case, I have to pay back two-fold. That is the least curtesy I can do for such noble ladies as yourself!”

Yu Huiyin's voice was laced with sarcasm and irony. Everyone who heard it could feel how she was mocking them, and while they frowned in unhappiness, they could say nothing against her logic.

This woman had indeed lost all her bearing and all her education from growing up. No matter how upset one became, it was not allowed to lose control of themselves, but this woman had, and she had to face her own punishment.

The woman was stunned, tears were streaming down her cheeks, and her makeup was ruined, alongside her luxurious dress.

While Yu Huiyin also had dirty clothes, her head was held high, and she did not seem bothered by it at all. Her eyes were filled with arrogance and dominance, and it was at this moment that the other women started to understand that although she was a commoner, she was not a simple figure.

The woman who was drenched in red wine had swollen cheeks and she covered her face with her hands as she ran from the hall, alongside her two friends, all of them fleeing from Yu Huiyin, however in their hearts they were unresigned with this outcome.

They were not willing to back down either; they would continue to fight for Xie Jingyu!

Just as Yu Huiyin was about to ask one of the maids for the way to the washroom, Xie Jingyu and Old Master Xie returned to the hall.

Xie Jingyu's eyes instantly landed on Yu Huiyin, and the moment they did, they trembled slightly, his mood turning turbulent, and the temperature dropping drastically alongside his mood.

The women began shivering in fear, they could feel the dense atmosphere that appeared, and all of them held their breath in fear.

They knew that Xie Jingyu was not a friendly person, but they still wished to marry him.

Now they finally understood just how dangerous he really was.

Xie Jingyu went to Yu Huiyin's side and found a tissue that he used to clean her face with.

”What happened to you?” he asked, his voice was emotionless, the aura he excluded not at all loosening up, but his actions were immensely gentle.

”I was bullied,” Yu Huiyin said, sharing her grievances to her husband, but then on second thought, she was reminded that he would not be always there, so she continued, ”but don't worry, I bullied them back. They ran away crying.”
