Chapter 524 - Revenge 525: Too Plain (1/2)

”She's been trying to do that ever since she came back. Like every time she coincidentally sees Anna walking, she always tries to make things to be in her favor, but like always, Anna wins.” As she is saying this Arion, Lannie suddenly remembered that Arion Coleman is capable of many things.

It does not matter what people call her from now on, all she cares about is to make sure that Veronica learns her place. 'Sorry, Anna's father, but I'm going to be a little bit manipulative now.' He inwardly said.

”That one time my brother and Anna went out abroad with uncle Alfonso, I heard that Veronica did the same thing too. Good thing that my brother was there to side with Anna, but I still feel bad that Anna has to go all through this because of Veronica's greediness.” Lannie puts on her sad expression. She is trying to convince Arion that Anna is having a hard time dealing with a person like Veronica.

”I'm pretty sure that my daughter is quite capable of defending herself with or without your brother, young lady,” Arion said.

”That is quite true.” Lannie had a feeling that Arion might say, so she praised herself for planning in advance in what she should say back. ”But, as you know, Anna is a nice kid. She doesn't like attacking anyone who is weaker than her. And she also told me that it's only a waste of time to pay attention to Veronica.”

On the sideline, Stan was listening from the beginning and he is in gape at the act his daughter is showing. The way she is acting is making him remember his wife. 'I think there is a high chance that my sweet little girl is turning out like her mother. I must prevent that from happening!'

His wife's fierce and cunning attitude might be the reason why he fell in love with her, but he definitely does not want their children to take after one of them. Thinking back, they have the worst personality and they are a bad influence on their children.

”Lannie, I think that is enough. Anna is Arion and Mary's daughter, I'm sure that she will retaliate once she had enough of Veronica. You should just let Anna and your brother handle this on their own.” In the first place, this sort of problem should be fixed by his son in the first place.

He is even wondering what is taking his son way too long to fix this Veronica problem. 'What on earth could he be doing?' He inwardly asked.

Little does he know, he is the reason why Kyle has not been able to fix their problem with Veronica. With all his studies, too much work given by his father, making time for Anna, Kyle does not have much time on him.

”No. Don't stop your daughter, Stan. As Anna's father, I think I do have the right to know what Veronica is doing to my daughter.” Arion blocked Stan, then signaled Lannie to continue telling him more.

Stan gulped. He is now inwardly praying that this side of his daughter is only temporarily.

On the other hand, Veronica just received a slap from her father. She stood in front of him frozen on the spot.

Veronica did not expect her father to raise his hand on her. She has been treated like a princess by him, he has been very careful with her, yet now, he actually hurt her.

”D-dear! You don't have to go that far! I know that Veronica made a mistake today and clearly, she is at fault, but you did not have to slap her like that. She is still our daughter!” Veronica's mother angrily shouted at him.

”Listen to me, and listen well, woman. That daughter of yours, I already warned from the very first day after she humiliated herself, I told her to not approach Anna Coleman at any cost. But what did she do? Not once, not twice, even now she did not listen to a word I said to her. Look at what we are facing now!”

Since Veronica is their only child, she is going to be the one running their company in the future, but the board of directors is having doubts about if they should entrust the company's sake at the hands of an irresponsible child like her.

Franklin has been hearing all sorts of bad rumors about his daughter, and most of them are true. If Veronica doesn't do anything to redeem herself, there will be no future for her anymore in the company.

Their family's hard work for generations will end in Franklin's lifetime.

”How dare you say that! You don't know how fragile Veronica's heart is. She only did those things because she really likes Kyle. Besides, Anna Coleman is the one at fault here. If she didn't get in the way of our daughter, then none of this would have happened.”

Franklin almost raised his hand to slap his wife. He can't believe that even his wife is as unreasonable as their daughter is.
