Chapter 511 - Revenge 512: Its Going To Be A Long Day (1/2)

”We already know who's behind my brother's death, then what are we still doing here?” Marcus asked. Base on the files that he read earlier, they can easily defeat Francis.

”Normally, yes. We could just raid his place and be done with it, but he produces the drugs that I invented. Those drugs are not just any normal drugs. It can enhance a person's physical abilities and senses.” The organization has many skilled people like Mary and the others, but it is still risky. Greg thinks that they should play their game carefully instead of attacking their enemy like they always do.

”In the first place, why on earth did you come up with that kind of drug?” Marcus asked in an irritated tone. He may not say it, but everyone knows that he is against the idea of using any cheats to strengthen a person's abilities.

If a person wants to be stronger than what they are now, they have to work harder in order to achieve what they want. That is what he always says to his people.

With a slight nervousness lingering inside of him, Greg replied, ”You know me, I like to test out new things. And when I thought of something new, I just have to make it or it won't go away from my mind.”

It's like an illness for Greg, when he thought of something that he can invent or want to invent, it stays in his mind until he is done making it. It's one of the main reasons why he can't have a good relationship with anyone.

He is way too busy with his projects to the point she doesn't have time to find himself a special someone. And even if he does find one, he will most likely neglect them.

”I don't remember approving of that project of yours, especially the drug.” Whenever there is a project Greg is working on, it has to be approved by Marcus, and once it is approved, they have to discuss on much it will cost them.

As far as Marcus' remember, he never approved either of those projects.

”Oh, you don't have to think that I stole money from the organization's budget, because I did no such thing. I used my own money for those projects.” After finding out that all of his hard work was burned down years ago, he was depressed and it took him months to get over it.

All of his efforts and money that he poured on that were all gone out of the blue. Back then he didn't know who put the fire and nobody was able to find out, so he has no idea where he should direct his anger at, but now it's different. He knows who did it and he's going to give them hell for doing it.

”No wonder you were saying you wanted to die at that time. Not only did you lost your data and blueprints, but you also lost a lot of money from it.” Nathaniel is not even sure if he should say comforting words to Greg now, but he chose to speak his mind, which is not helping Greg feel any better.

”Wow. Thank you for pointing that out, Nathaniel.” Greg and Nathaniel are not close to each other, but they do respect one another. But sometimes, they do get on each other's nerves because of their contradicting opinions.

”Is the drugs and the microch.i.p.s that he invented is the only thing we're going talk about today? Because if we are, then we're done talking now. I have some other business to attend to.” Leonardo canceled most of his appointments today, and if Greg's invention is the only thing they're going to talk about today, then he will have time to go to the appointments he didn't cancel.

”No. We're going to talk about a lot of stuff regarding our current problem, Leo. It would be best if you cancel all your appointments today because it's going to be a long day.” Mary replied.

Talking about Greg's invention is only the beginning of this day's sudden meeting. Francis Glore may not be as smart as she thought he was, but he has something that can beat them if they don't play their game carefully.

Mary gathered the old and the current generation of the organization because she wants to hear all of their opinions. Many heads are better than one, after all.

With a sigh, Leonardo took out his phone and send a message to his secretary. For the first time in forever, Leonardo felt like he would rather work than to stay in the same room with his father. Being in close proximity to his father is making him feel suffocated.

'I can't believe this is happening.' He inwardly said.
