”I'm in awe.” Anna's eyes shined brightly as she stared at the picture hanged on the wall. ”Our family has such a legacy that I didn't know about. Brother! Isn't this amazing or what?!” Anna excitedly stared at her brother.

”I don't that word is enough to describe is, Anna. But I do agree with you.” Aaron is also in awe as he stares at every antique that indicates the history of his family. Ever since little, his grandfather kept telling him how great their family is.

As he grows up, he started to believe that his grandfather was exaggerating about how great their family is. He even thinks that the only greatness his family has is their power and wealth in society. And he is not particularly proud to brag about it.

”Why are you showing this to me?” Anna asked Martha. These kinds of secrets are usually only shown to the successor of the family. As for her, who is only just a member of the family does not have the right to see all these secrets.

”Anna,” Martha sighed. ”You're not the heir of this family, however, you are a precious member of that family. You proved your worth. Whether you are an heir or not, you deserve to know all of this. Don't look down on yourself just because of the position that you have.”

Even now, Martha is still can't believe that Anna truly has no interest in wanting to compete with her brother.

Growing up, it was hard for her because she's a female. Most people that surround her, looks down on her. They don't think that she has the capability to lead and to be successful because of that, she convinced herself that she will prove them wrong.

Every single day for her back then was a struggle. In her studies, in sports, and her social standing in the society, she aimed for the top. She made sure that her parents recognize all of her hard work and that her brothers are nothing compare to her.

After all of her hard work, she was recognized and she is able to build her own company. To those who looked down on her, she didn't give a single glance when they approached her. As for her siblings, she only gave them a cold shoulder and never helped them when they asked her. 'They deserved it. Just because I'm a woman that does not mean they have the right to say that I'm can't be on the same standing as them.'

”She's right, Anna. Besides, we're a pair. If I'm allowed to see something incredible as this, then so do you.” Back when they were around either or nine, he was always surrounded by people. People who already thinks that he's heir just because he is a boy.

Those people gave him a lot of things, and as a young boy, he liked those things. But after he saw that his sister didn't receive anything from them and was ignored by them, he felt guilty.

When he asked one of those people why they are only paying attention to him and not to his sister, that person said to him that they don't pay attention to her because she is a girl. Hearing that, he got upset and said to the man that he and his sister were born together on the same day and that they should be receiving the same equal treatment.

After those people heard his response, they only laughed at him and said that he shouldn't be thinking like that. His sister was there, and she heard everything. Since that day, whenever they are together in the same place, she never smiled around him, and when she does smile, it was a fake smile. His young mind told him that Anna grew to hate him, and that made him sad.

As the years pass by, he's been thinking a way to make his sister not give him any fake smiles. He avoided those people who said those words to her, he refused to receive any gifts other than what he gets from his family, and even keeping a safe distance for her not to feel uncomfortable.

He tried everything, but in the end, he didn't get what he wanted. However, on the day of his grandfather's birthday, he was really shocked to receive a warm hug from her. There was no hint of fakeness from that hug. He even felt like he was about to cry from so much happiness.

He didn't know what happened or what he did for her to suddenly change her way of treating him, but he couldn't care less as long as he and his sister are in great harmony.

'I'm not gonna let anyone get in between Anna and I.' Arion inwardly declared.

”Well... if you say something like that, then what rights do I have to question it?” Anna said. She feels warm and fuzzy in her heart hearing those words from her brother.
