Though he may say in front of other people that obtaining his wife's heart is easy, it is actually the most challenging in his life. Back then, no matter what he does, his wife never glanced at him and she even cursed at his face when he did something so stupid in front of her.

She was the first girl who made him feel like he can't obtain everything that he wanted, and that made him very excited every time he is with her.

”Where's your loyalty, Mike? Do you really have to side with that brat?” Arion said with a frown. For Mike to keep such secret from him is quite a shock. Mike is not that type of guy. Mike likes to create trouble when there is a need to create. And sharing such information is enough to create trouble, and yet Mike didn't take the bait.

”Don't misunderstand me, Arion. I'm not siding with that kid, I'm just supporting what he is doing. I find it very admirable, and I'm sure you can relate to that too. Besides, I'm loyal to Mary, not to you.” Mike can only scoff at how ironic Arion is. Arion is just like Kyle when he was younger. Everyone in the organization knows what kind of antics did Arion make just to have Mary fall for him.

In some ways, Kyle is also doing the same thing. Mike can't understand why Arion is acting like this. 'Why can't he just appreciate that boy's effort?'

”Aww... I love you too, Mike. How sweet of you to say that.” Mary sweetly smiled. Mary rarely hears Mike say such words, and whenever he does, she always appreciates it.

After Johan betrayed her and their group, Mary honestly told everyone that she is suspicious of Mike. Mike is Johan's best friend before the betrayal happened. And it was possible that Mike could be Johan's accomplice.

There was a lot of conflict between her and Mike back then, but in the end, everything worked out. Mary genuinely regretted accusing Mike as Johan's accomplice. And she swore ever since that if she is suspicious of someone, she should investigate it first before pointing her fingers.

”Enough of that...” Arion uncomfortably said. Though it is the way Mary interact with Mike, he just can't help but be jealous when they are like that. It makes him realize that in their group of friends, he is the last one who knew about Mary first. ”Anyways, what's your excuse, Alfonso? Why didn't you tell me?”

Alfonso was relieved that their topic was slipping away, but when Arion asked him again, he just groaned inwardly. He hates it when Arion interrogates him. Arion will do anything just to get information out of him and sometimes because of that, he can't finish any of his daily activities or work.

”Do you really have to ask me that? You know that Kyle is my nephew, it's only natural that I'm siding with him. Family is family, isn't that what you always say.” Luckily, Alfonso knows how to answer Arion's interrogation.

”Beat it, Arion. Whatever you guys are talking about, you should not take your anger out on Mike and Alfonso. Aside from that, what happened already happened. Just let it go and focus more on the matter we have now.” Her husband shouldn't be considering Kyle as their enemy, he should be considering Kyle as their most likely ally in the future. It's best to keep Kyle around for the benefit of their organization.

The more reason why her husband shouldn't be focusing on Kyle for the upcoming days is that her husband will finally make his appearance in the public and the fight against the group of people James is allying with. They can't afford to lose sight of what they should be doing.

”I have to agree on Mary on that, Arion. Considering that I can understand why you feel that way towards Kyle, it doesn't have to mean that you should destroy him right now. There is always time to destroy those mongrels who try to steal our precious gems.” Leonardo spoke in a menacing tone. Ever since that day, he keeps remembering what Aaron said to him and it always gives him the feeling of wanting to break someone's bones.

'Just you wait, you brat.'

Mary and Arion don't even know what to say to that. It seems like Leonardo has forgotten that one of the mongrels that he is talking about is their son.

As for the three men who don't have a daughter on their family can't understand why Leonardo and Arion are acting like that. So they can only think that both these doting fathers have gone crazy about protecting their only daughter.

”I'm glad that I don't have a daughter,” Zack said, then Mike and Alfonso agreed to it. They don't want to end up like those two.
