”Okay. That's it! I'm going over there and demand to know what they are talking about!” Lannie who has been so impatient suddenly stood up and declared at she is going to reveal herself to Anna and her grandfather.

Before Lannie could even take a step forward, Kyle held her wrist, then forced her back to her seat. ”Don't do anything stupid. Grandfather dotes on you a lot, but that doesn't mean he will pardon you for spying on him. And I'm telling you now, I'm not gonna try and save you from him.”

”But I'm so curious! I want to know what they are talking about. Is it that hard to understand that I'm dying to know?!” Lannie felt like she's gonna die if she doesn't do anything to at least get a hint of the conversation between the two important people in her life.

”I understand. But you should at least use your brain. As a matter of fact, you can ask Anna later, am I right?” As far as Kyle remembers, Anna and his little sister are staying in the same room for a few more days, and obviously, Lannie has more advantages than him. She can ask Anna whenever she wants to. As for him, she can do the same, but he got the feeling that Anna is not gonna tell him anything because, since the beginning, Anna did not even tell him about this 'meeting.'

Lannie wanted to say more of her complaints about the twins, but an annoying voice prevented her from doing so.

”Kyle!” Lannie looks at the direction where that annoying voice came from, and she regretted looking in that direction. She suddenly felt that her eyes are now tainted because of what she saw.

”What is she doing here? Did you call her here?” Lannie angrily whispered to her brother.

Veronica Lace, that is the person who just called out her brother's name. Her mother once told her that from time to time, whenever Veronica visits the Robertson mansion, Veronica likes to play with when she was still a baby.

Of course, Lannie has no memory of that, and she is sure that it's a nice thing of Veronica to do. But now that she has grown up and has no recollection of Veronica at all, Lannie doesn't see that nice girl from her mother's story.

As for Kyle's comment, he telling the truth. He has no idea who Veronica is, he has already forgotten the face of his childhood friend. And when Veronica visited the Robertson mansion a few days ago, he wasn't present at that time.

”K-Kyle, you are joking, right? I mean, how could you forget about me?” Veronica felt like she is about to cry as she asked Kyle. The reason why she visited that Roberton mansion a few days ago is to remind Kyle that she has grown and to make him recognize the woman that she has become.
