While Anna is having a pleasant time with Stan and Lannie, Kyle, on the other hand, is having the worst time.

”That father of mine, he did this on purpose!” Kyle silently murmured to himself. He followed his father's orders because he thought that it will only take him a few minutes, but it's been more than just a few.

By looking at the time, he is already guessing that Anna is already at his father's office. While Anna is already there, here he is, waiting in the waiting line to buy a dessert.

His father manages to convince him to buy this particular dessert. How his father did that? Well, his father used Anna's name, saying that Anna likes dessert, which is true. However, he is wasting too much time waiting in line.

His father must have known that the line would be this long that's why he sent him here in this specific place. 'He's such a schemer!' Kyle inwardly said.

The thought of using his family name to get that dessert would be faster, but when he imagine Anna's face when she finds out that he bought the dessert with his own effort is making him feel happy on the inside.

”Kyle?”

Kyle heard his name being called and knowing who is the owner of that voice, Kyle didn't bother to look to where that person is. 'Damn it. Our of all places, why does this guy have to be here.' Kyle inwardly complained.

”Hey, Kyle. I know it's you and I know that you heard me. There's no point in trying to act that you didn't hear me.” Basing on that tone, Kyle knew that this person is displeased by his behavior, but he wouldn't care less about what he feels.

”Go away, Zedrick,” Kyle said firmly to him.

”Oh, come on! This is the first time I've seen you in a long time and you're already dismissing me? Where's the love, brother?” Zedrick said teasingly.

He and Kyle went way back in their high school days. They were friends, but he is not as close to Kyle as Erik is. The three of them were always together, but when college started, he is the only one who went on a different route.

Zedrick even plans to invite his high school buddies to have some fun, but he didn't expect to see Kyle so soon.

”Love? I don't need to give you any love. You're annoying.” Apart from Erik, there is another annoying person in his life, and that is Zedrick.

Zedrick is alike with Erik, these two likes to flirt with girls. It truly makes him wonder how did he end up being friends with them. All in all, he has no one blame to blame for that but himself. He's the one who let them enter his life.

”My heart is breaking hearing you say that.” Zedrick acted as if he has been deeply hurt by his friend's words. Then, he looks around and saw the long line Kyle is in. ”By the way, what are you doing here?”
