Chapter 397 - Revenge 398: Im Just Trying To Protect Her (1/2)

”What are you talking about?” Anna knows who Zen is talking about, but overall, she has no idea the main point Zen is talking about. ”What am I supposed to do?”

”Cook for Kyle again! Do you hear me? And also, please put some good words for me so he won't look at me with murdering eyes anymore.” Zen will willingly tell Anna about this matter over and over again as long as the result is that Kyle won't ever look at him like that ever again.

”Even if you didn't tell me that, I would still cook for him again. Geez. What's with you? I won't put good words for you to him. If you want to be on his good side, then work hard for it.” Anna has no idea what Zen did to Kyle, but all she knows is that she won't help Zen.

”B-But he doesn't like me! We were not even acquaintances to each and yet, he already hates me! I only said one comment to you and he's already angry!” Yesterday, when Lannie mentioned that someone told her what he said that discourages Anna to not cook anymore, Zen already knew it was not Anna who told Lannie about that.

In his opinion, it's either Anna's twin or Nathalia. Those are the top people who want to see him suffer. He has no idea why they want him to suffer, but they are the suspects!

Anna sighed. Clearly, she is clueless about what Zen is talking about. ”Can someone please tell me what this idiot is talking about?” Anna has this urge to make a comment in a sarcastic way, but she doesn't have that energy anymore. Zen drained her out the moment he kneeled in front of her.

”Do you remember what he said to you the other day? You know, at the cafe. If you do remember that, then that's your answer.” Nathalia spoke, answering Anna's question. Truthfully said, she is having fun seeing Zen looking so desperate.

After hearing that, Anna now understands what point Zen is trying to make. ”Zen, if you're worried about what you said to me the other, I didn't let it affect me. Well, it did, but after some thinking, I just shrugged it off.” When nightfall came on that day, Anna spent hours rethinking about everything.

When she realized that she's only being dramatic, she immediately blocked off Zen's words from her mind. She is only going to waste her time if she let those words bother her.

”Then, why did you stop giving your cooked food to Kyle?” Zen curiously asked.

”I stopped, but it was only temporary because I was busy handling my family business. How did you even know about that?” Not making anything for Kyle for any a few days, Anna didn't think that it was such a big deal, like how Zen is portraying it to her.

”It's obvious.” After knowing the reason why Kyle was staring at him with murderous intent, Zen guessed that Kyle didn't receive anything from Anna since that day. Now that he knows the real reason why Kyle didn't receive anything from Anna, he is relieved by that. ”Even so, please help me out. I don't want that guy to look at me like that every time I see him.”

For some reason, Zen kept having this feeling that soon he and Kyle will see each other more frequently than what is expected. Since everything is not set in stone just yet, Zen wants to make sure that the meeting between him and Kyle will a peaceful one before his bad omen happens.

”You must be just imagining it, Zen. I'm sure you misinterpret the way Kyle looks at you.” Since Anna is well aware of Kyle's characteristic, she knows that Zen is telling the truth to her. But she pretended she's not believing him.

This is Anna's way of taking her revenge on Zen. How dare he messed her mind like that.

”What? Are you being serious?” Hearing that question, Anna put on an innocent smile. Zen does not believe that Anna is being serious with him, so he turned around and face the one person he knows who is still not liking Kyle for Anna. ”Aaron, is your sister being serious? Tell me that she's only messing with me.”

It is still morning and yet, he feels like Anna is already making a fool out of him. He doesn't like that kind of feeling. In their group of friends, it is his job to lighten the mood, to annoy his friends, and sometimes make a fool out of his friends.

With this feeling that is inside him, he just can't let it go and wants to erase it all at once. But how can he do it?
